ESG is "as crowded as ever," according to AllianceBernstein, which revealed "high conviction" stock ideas to play it. Here are some of their "high conviction" stock ideas to play the theme. 'High conviction' stock ideas AllianceBernstein likes German athletic apparel company Adidas for its "best-in-class" ESG credentials. They gave the firm an outperform rating at a price target of 151 Swedish krona ($13.83), which represents an upside of around 57%. American fast food chain Chipotle Mexican Grill was also given an outperform rating, and a price target of $2,300 – representing upside of around 26%.

HELSINKI (AP) — Telecom gear maker Nokia said Thursday that it is planning to cut up to 14,000 jobs worldwide, or 16% of its workforce, as part of a push to reduce costs following a plunge in third-quarter sales and profit. The company said it is aiming to slash 800 million euros ($843 billion) to 1.2 billion euros in costs by the end of 2026. That is expected to lead to a reduction from 86,000 employees to between 72,000 and 77,000 over that time period. Nokia’s third-quarter sales plummeted 20%, to 4.98 billion euros from 6.24 billion in the same three-month period last year. The company’s biggest unit by revenue — the mobile networks business — declined 24% to 2.16 billion euros, driven mainly by weakness in the North American market.

DETROIT (AP) — Owners of Toyota and Lexus electric vehicles in North America will be able to charge on Tesla's network starting in 2025, and the Japanese automaker also will start using Tesla's EV connector. In a statement Thursday, Toyota says it will adopt Tesla's North American Charging Standard plug in a little over a year. The announcement comes just after Hyundai, Kia and BMW made similar announcements for their electric vehicles.
