He said the APM program is so competitive that landing an interview is like hitting a gold mine. After graduating, I chose Google over other companies because it offered a lot more support and resources: The Google APM program was proposed by former Google executive Marissa Mayer who started the program in 2002 to recruit fresh talents. Getting into the program is hard — it is estimated that 8,000 people apply to the APM program each year, and only 40-45 get accepted. This is the best part about the APM program — the ability to switch teams. I went to work in the office of the CEO, Sundar Pichai, and did product strategy-related work directly for him.

CNN —England came back to beat Italy on Tuesday to book its spot at Euro 2024 and leave the reigning champion’s hopes of qualifying hanging by a thread. The result enacted a modicum of revenge for England, which lost to Italy in the same stadium in the Euro 2020 final two years ago. However, the defeat leaves Italy’s hopes of qualifying in the balance with the Azzurri on 10 points after six games, three points behind Ukraine which has 13 points after seven games. For a four-time world champion and the reigning European champion, not making it to Germany would signal another major failure. Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti said he thought his side didn’t deserve Tuesday’s result with the way it played.

Speaking to French outlet CNews on Monday, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin accused Benzema of having connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, a religious and political group which France considers a terrorist organization. And in recent weeks, I’ve been particularly interested, Mr. Benzema is linked, we all know it, notoriously with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is a religious and political group founded on the belief that Islam is not simply a religion, but a way of life. The Muslim Brotherhood officially rejects the use of violent means to secure its goals. There is no evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood has any connection to Hamas’ attack on Israel.

In recent weeks Elon Musk has suggested Twitter could stop being accessible in Europe in order to avoid new regulation enacted by the European Commission. Musk is increasingly frustrated with having to comply with the Digital Services Act, according to a person familiar with the company. This would be similar to the way Meta is currently blocking people in Europe from using its new app Threads. At the time, Musk suggested the platform, still known as Twitter, should shift to operating only in the countries where it was most popular, so the US, the UK, and Japan. On X, Musk seemed to reply sarcastically to a post from Commissioner Breton on X's DSA compliance and insisted he did not understand what was being asked of him.

MADRID, Oct 16 (Reuters) - At least 8,561 migrants have reached the Canary Islands over the past two weeks, representing more than a third of this year's total arrivals, data from Spain's interior ministry showed on Monday. The archipelago's seven islands have become the main destination for migrants from Senegal and other African countries trying to reach Spain. Scotland might not harbor realistic ambitions of winning Euro 2024, but it has arguably exceeded expectations by qualifying from Group A. MADRID (Reuters) - Spain's Pedro Sanchez met with Catalan pro-independence party Junts and became the first Spanish prime minister to hold official talks with Basque separatist party EH Bildu on Friday, as the caretaker leader seeks to form a new government. Sanchez's Socialists need support from Catalan and Basque separatist groups to win an investiture vote before Nov. 27 or face a fresh election next year after an inconclusive vote in July. "We're still far from a historic compromise," Junts parliamentary spokesperson Miriam Nogueras said about a potential agreement, after meeting Sanchez. Bildu helped Sanchez form a government in 2020 by abstaining in the investiture vote and has already pledged unconditional support as he seeks a new four-year term in office.
