Part of China’s Belt and Road infrastructure initiative and largely funded by Chinese state-owned firms, the $7.3 billion project opened to the public on Sunday. The train will travel between the capital Jakarta and Bandung in West Java, Indonesia’s second-largest city and a major arts and culture hub. Paris CNN —France’s health minister has assured the French public that there’s “no reason for widespread panic” as Paris reports a “widespread” rise in bedbugs. “Bedbugs have been increasingly present in France for two or three years now, regularly peaking in the summer. French transport operators say they remain “vigilant” about bedbugs following reports of what were said to be sightings in public transport. In the videos, the bedbugs were said to be spotted on public transport and other public locations, such as cinemas. French health minister Aurelien Rousseau also dimissed the idea that the rise in bedbugs is related to imigration.

The maximum speed of the trains along this route is 350 kilometers (217 miles) per hour, according to China Railway, the state railway operator. The first train on this line debuted on Thursday, September 28, departing from Fuzhou, the province’s capital, at 9:15 a.m. China Railway says that it used intelligent robots and environmentally friendly corrosion-resistant steel to build out the overwater rail sections. Fujian province is also significant for being the closest part of mainland China to the self-governing island of Taiwan. The plan would turn Kinmen into a “peace island,” or a sort of DMZ between Taiwan and China.

Uber is switching its $600 million ad buying business from WPP to rival Omnicom, according to two people familiar with the matter. Uber began a competitive pitch for its media business in March. Florian Adamski, Omnicom Media Group CEO, said in a statement that its agencies would make its "strategic data capabilities" central to its work for Uber. Omnicom media agencies have notched up a handful of sizeable wins since the beginning of July. Sept 27 (Reuters) - Carlos Alcaraz is relishing his "beautiful battle" with Novak Djokovic for the year-end world number one ranking, with the 20-year-old Spaniard saying on Wednesday it will give him extra motivation heading into the China Open. Ahead of his return to action in Beijing this week, world number two Alcaraz said he would be thinking about the top spot every time he trains and plays in a bid to close the gap on Djokovic. About 8,000 trailers carrying an estimated $1 billion worth of goods have been stranded on the Mexican side over the past week, said Manuel Sotelo, president of the transport association of Ciudad Juarez, a major manufacturing hub across from El Paso, Texas.
