A Russian court extended the detention of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich through at least Jan. 30 of next year.
Gershkovich is being held on an allegation of espionage that he, the Journal and the U.S. government vehemently deny.

The Sovetsky District Court in Kazan, a city in southwest Russia, on Friday ordered Kurmasheva be held until Feb. 5, her company said.
