Smirnov said Russian intelligence passed along the story of the bribery claims, per a court filing. LONDON — British telecoms group BT said Wednesday it had agreed to sell London's iconic BT Tower — once an important piece of network infrastructure — to developer MCR Hotels for £275 million ($346.6 million). The 189-meter structure has loomed over the capital city's central Fitzrovia neighborhood since 1965, when it opened as the Post Office tower. It was also known for a revolving restaurant on its 34th floor, which took 22 minutes to complete a rotation. MCR Hotels owns 150 properties, including the TWA Hotel located in the former TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Tyler Morse, CEO of MCR Hotels, said the group would "preserve this beloved building and will work to develop proposals to tell its story as an iconic hotel."

How flying taxis could go mainstream

But some experts say if air taxis are going to go mainstream, an overlooked element will need to be scaled up: software. One part is the physical infrastructure, such as a vertiport — where air taxis can take off, land, and recharge. Because it’s a self-flying aircraft, there are unique software needs, Becky Tanner, the chief marketing officer at Wisk, told BI. Courtesy of VolocopterVolocopter also sees a “stand-alone business case” for VoloIQ as a third-party software, Seywald said. Getting air taxis in the skies could hinge on the customersSoftware is an essential part of the success of a mobility provider, Seywald told BI.

But MAGA Media personalities like Sean Hannity quickly shifted into hyperdrive last year when a supposedly “highly credible” FBI informant claimed to have smoking gun evidence of the conspiracy. The emergence of a confidential FBI informant coursed through right-wing media, where talking heads and outlets spotlighted the claims as damning evidence of criminal wrongdoing. Those actions were then celebrated in right-wing media. The charges dealt a blow to the narrative Fox News had championed on its air and Republicans had pressed in Congress. The stunning demise of the claim is just the latest in a larger pattern from Fox News and the broader right-wing media ecosystem in which it operates.

This as-told-to essay is based on a transcribed conversation with Justin Cambra, a former Amazon worker from Seattle who started a parking side hustle. I rent out parking spaces at my house. I realized I had tons of parking space at my house — around half an acre of paved space. I started by pricing each space at $213 a month per stall, which is what was recommended on the site. That cost me around $6,000 in total over the last year but meant I had 20 parking spaces.

CNN —Special counsel David Weiss charged a former FBI informant with lying about President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s involvement in business dealings with Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings. Alexander Smirnov, 43, is facing charges in connection with lying to the FBI and creating false records. CNN is working to determine whether Smirnov has an attorney. Smirnov’s charge undercuts a major aspect of Republicans’ claims that Joe Biden was financially benefiting from his son’s business dealings in Ukraine. According to court records, Smirnov told an FBI agent that he had spoken with the owner of Burisma about the company’s efforts to buy a company in the United States.

The roses that you buy this week from a florist, supermarket or website for Valentine’s Day in all likelihood arrived in the United States through one place: Miami International Airport, the port of entry for about 90 percent of the nation’s imported cut flowers. All year, farmworkers snip flowers by hand, mostly in Colombia and Ecuador, to be sent on cargo planes to Miami, where they are inspected and then loaded on trucks to reach every mainland state. Sometimes, flowers cut in the morning can be in South Florida, a three- or four-hour flight away, by the afternoon. It is a logistical feat, especially in the weeks leading up to Feb. 14 — one of the flower industry’s two peak holidays, along with Mother’s Day. Yet few consider that when they pick up bouquets for $20 at Target.
