Deckers Outdoor has been on a tear recently, and Bank of America thinks there's more upside to come. Analyst Christopher Nardone reinstated coverage of Deckers Outdoor with a buy rating, saying the footwear company has a strong portfolio of brands led by Hoka and Ugg that will help the stock outperform. Hoka is the "crown jewel" in Deckers' portfolio with a "clear runway for growth" as more consumers learn about the brand, according to the note. "We see additional growth opportunities outside the specialty run category and expect HOKA will continue to gain traction with non-core runners," read the note. Separately, the analyst expects that Ugg is "not just a pandemic winner" that will continue to gain market share from here.

COLOMBO, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's parliament on Friday passed a constitutional amendment aimed at trimming presidential powers, beefing up anti-corruption safeguards and helping to find a way out of the country's worst financial crisis since independence. Sri Lanka has struggled for months to find enough dollars to pay for essential imports such as fuel, food, cooking gas and medicine. Opposition parties and civil society representatives, however, have slammed the amendment as not far-reaching enough in promoting accountability and reducing government powers. "This is just tinkering with presidential powers and the amendment does not implement significant change," said Bhavani Fonseka, a senior researcher at the Centre for Policy Alternatives, a Colombo-based think tank. "The president still retains the power to prorogue parliament, to hold ministries and the constitutional council will still have mostly government appointees."
Some of Alaska Rep. Don Young's former staffers are backing Rep. Mary Peltola, a Democrat. They say she'll carry on the long-serving Republican's legacy better than Sarah Palin or Nick Begich. Sarah Palin in a special election for the state's sole House seat, Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola is about to face voters once more. Equally revealing is what some staffers, who generally identify as Republican or right-leaning independents, had to say about Palin and Nick Begich III, Peltola's conservative opponents. But Young staffers noted that the long-serving Republican often took positions that clashed with the priorities of party leadership, including his relatively high support among organized labor.
