A Hamilton College student has been charged with posting antisemitic remarks on campus, authorities said Monday. New York State Police’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the private college located in upstate New York on Friday after receiving “a report of antisemitic remarks being posted on art canvases on campus,” police said in a news release. Brenden was located in his dorm room on Saturday and agreed to speak with state police during which he “ultimately admitted to posting the remarks,” officials said. Authorities said Hamilton College has suspended Brenden from campus pending a hearing for his dismissal from the school. Officials said “there remains no threat against students or faculty at Hamilton College.”NBC News has reached out to state police and Hamilton College for further comment.

CNN —A Russian man has been rescued after 67 days adrift on a small boat in the bitterly cold Sea of Okhotsk, Russian authorities said Tuesday. The man’s brother and his teenage son died in the ordeal, according to Russian state media RIA Novosti, who named the survivor as 46-year-old Mikhail Pichugin. The rescued man’s wife told Russian state media that his weight could have played a role in his survival, given he weighed about 220lbs (100 kg). She told RIA that Pichugin and his late brother and nephew had enough food to last for about two weeks. He is “in serious condition, emaciated, but conscious,” the director of the fishing company that stumbled upon the adrift boat told RIA.

CNN —Donald Trump on Tuesday declared himself the “father of IVF,” a fertility treatment that has come under threat following the Supreme Court’s 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. “We really are the party for IVF,” Trump told moderator and Fox News host Harris Faulkner. “Donald Trump called himself ‘the father of IVF.’ What is he talking about?” the vice president posted on social media late Tuesday. Many of those GOP opponents have said they do support IVF but criticized the legislation as unnecessary overreach and a political show vote.
