Could President Biden, who claims to have labor-friendly policies, be the one to turn the tide by appealing to the White working class and giving his party a much-needed electoral boost in the process? After all, issues affecting poor White voters, such as health care, higher education and increased access to childcare have long been traditional Democratic priorities. Upon first glance, you might not think Kahil El’Zabar, 70, is a spiritual jazz musician. That’s not to say avant-jazz guys can’t be chic, but rarely do they look this dapper. Washington CNN —Former President Donald Trump has appealed an Illinois judge’s decision that disqualified him from the state’s upcoming Republican primary ballot. The surprise court ruling this week throws into question whether votes cast for Trump will be counted. Porter issued her decision Wednesday night and paused the decision for two days, so Trump could appeal. Trump’s lawyers asked her on Thursday to extend the pause until all of their potential appeals are exhausted in Illinois courts. The justices seemed likely to reverse that decision, teeing up a conflict with the Illinois ruling.

Why are we different from other generations?”He was referring to a recent Gallup poll showing an immense political gender gap between 18- to 29-year-old women and men, driven mainly by young women turning sharply left. To begin with, the shift leftward among young women began before #MeToo, Trump’s election and Dobbs. Globally, women are moving sharply left while men are moving modestly right (except in South Korea, where men are moving significantly to the right). It’s that they’re less relevant than a series of seismic cultural changes that have led young men and young women to live increasingly separate lives — and the more they do so, the more they’ll have separate experiences and develop separate beliefs.
