The flurry of deals comes even as warnings emerge that lithium prices, driven to records by rapid growth in electric vehicles, may peak next year because of a looming supply glut. It also bought majority stakes in the Lakkor Tso Lithium Salar mine in China's Tibet region and the Xiangyuan lithium mine in Hunan province. Zijin has a market capitalisation of about $35 billion and net profit of 15.7 billion yuan ($2.2 billion) last year. Zijin told investors recently it made its mine acquisitions based on lithium carbonate prices of 100,000 yuan a tonne.
The snow and rain should begin to taper off Friday for most areas before the next storm system arrives late Saturday into early Sunday. While nearly 3 feet of snow could fall in California, 1 to 2 feet of widespread snow is expected across the Rockies in places like Montana, Utah and the mountains in Colorado. This would be a significant and fairly rare snow for Seattle, a city that averages as much snow a year (3.8 inches) as Little Rock, Arkansas. A passenger disturbance on a Southwest Airlines flight prompted its diversion to Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday on one of the year's busiest travel weekends. "The FBI is the primary federal agency authorized to investigate potential assault aboard aircraft violations," Hagan said by email. The exact nature of the disturbance on board the Columbus, Ohio-bound flight from Houston wasn't entirely revealed. The disturbance came amid one of the year's busiest travel weekends, when many Americans partook in Thanksgiving reunions following the end of pandemic isolation. On Monday, authorities alleged, a Utah man held a straight-edge razor near another passenger’s throat on a New York City-to-Salt Lake City flight.
He told Insider he wasn't surprised to see court challenges and worried for people who got refunds. Since Biden announced his plan at the end of August to forgive up to $20,000 in student debt for federal borrowers, the plan has been fraught with legal challenges. I think many of the court challenges have tried to shine light on that," Matthew said. "My generation, the millennial, Gen Z generation, are facing a significant problem with student-loan debt," he said. Critical shortages of the ADHD drug Adderall and the antibiotic amoxicillin have left families reeling as the medicines their loved ones need become harder to find. In the case of amoxicillin, demand has become particularly acute amid a so-called tripledemic of Covid, respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, and the flu that are converging this season. The Food and Drug Administration's website currently lists amoxicillin and Adderall, also known as mixed amphetamine salts, as being in short supply. NBC News reached out to two of the drugmakers responsible for producing both Adderall and amoxicillin. In 2020, Congress passed the Mitigating Emergency Drug Shortages Act, which aimed to address some of these issues.

Here's why being a flight attendant during the busiest travel months of the year is anything but easy. During the week of Thanksgiving, I'll fly 15 times, and day of, I'll usually work two to three flights. I began to bide my time until I turned 21 — which is the official age to start work as an Amazon driver — and I could join my dream profession. A while after leaving my previous job, I came across an opening for a driver on Indeed, which I applied for. (Editor's note: Perez, like many Amazon delivery drivers, was hired by a local delivery-service partner and is considered an independent subcontractor with Amazon.)
