Tobacco product use among middle and high school students has dropped to a 25-year low, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday. Female students reported the biggest decline in use across the board, and Hispanic students also reported a drop in use of any tobacco product. Evidence-based strategies, including price increases, media campaigns and smoke-free policies, are likely part of what caused tobacco product use to drop, according to the agencies. E-cigarettes continue to be the most used among students who reported tobacco product use, at 5.9%, but nicotine pouches are now the second-most commonly used tobacco product, at 1.8%, followed by cigarettes at 1.4%. On a recent trip to Paris, I took a 40-minute train ride to enjoy delicious wine in Champagne. It's my favorite French wine region, so I love spending a day in and around Reims. As oenophiles know, true Champagne can only be produced in the Champagne region of France. Luckily, it happens to be the closest wine region to Paris, making it perfect for day trips or weekend getaways. It also happens to be my favorite wine region, so I try to visit whenever I'm nearby.

Here’s what Wilmer and other experts have to say about this social media trend and how to ensure these challenges are beneficial and not harmful. Jiang had blogged about himself performing rejection therapy for 100 days after being inspired by a card game Canadian entrepreneur Jason Comey originally developed. At the beginning of the challenge Panning felt she had to hype herself up and brace herself for the answer she thought would come. And while many of her requests resulted in rejection, Panning said she was surprised to find that sometimes strangers would instead say yes.

The head of the International Monetary Fund cautioned on Thursday that high debt and low growth remained major impediments to the global economy. "When we look into the challenges ahead of us, the biggest one is low growth, high debt. "It is successful major economies that have done really well … and there are pockets in the world where inflation is still a problem," she said. Georgieva warned that international trade would no longer be the "engine of growth" it once was, highlighting the proliferation of restrictive policies among many economies. Earlier on Thursday, Georgieva also pointed to wider geopolitical tensions as one of the key risks to global financial stability.

“I think it would be a big mistake to underestimate the president,” Scholz told PBS ahead of NATO’s 50th anniversary summit in Washington. Biden has instead opted for “minilateralism,” what foreign policy experts have come to term his strategy for dealing with smaller coalitions of like-minded nations. “Ironically, it is precisely Biden’s caution that has encouraged continued Russian, Chinese, North Korean, and Iranian misbehavior,” Kempe writes. According to Pew Research Center polling on views of Biden across 34 countries, 63% of German respondents expressed confidence in Biden.
