Read previewGen Zers may think they are digitally savvy and immune to online scams, but that very thought may leave them vulnerable to being lured into nefarious schemes. AdvertisementScams are always evolving, and the tricks Gen Zers believe they are wise to may be replaced by increasingly technologically advanced schemes they don't see coming. AdvertisementPeople are still processing the years lost to the pandemic, particularly Gen Zers, whose brains were still developing, Neo added. "This can make us more impulsive, less thoughtful of our choices, and can be a risk factor for romance scams," Neo said. Gen Zers understand what it's like to struggle, with many facing economic instability and having difficulty with bills, rent, and finding jobs.

The experience of shame is so intense and visceral that I can't always pinpoint exactly what is going on. "Sweetie, what you're going through is not your fault. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters could issue its long-awaited presidential endorsement as soon as Wednesday, union spokesperson Kara Deniz confirmed to CNBC Monday following a meeting members held with Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington. We represent registered Republicans and independents," Teamsters president Sean O'Brien said in a press conference after the meeting. On Monday, Harris made her pitch for the union's endorsement in the meeting with rank-and-file Teamsters, along with O'Brien and other members of the union's executive leadership. The meeting came as both Harris and her opponent, Republican former President Donald Trump, court working-class voters. But the Teamsters president also condemned Trump's comments later in the summer, where the Republican applauded the idea of firing workers who threaten to strike.

Jane’s Addiction apologized to fans for the onstage altercation in Boston that saw singer Perry Farrell throwing a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro and abruptly ending their set. “We want to extend a heartfelt apology for the events that unfolded last night,” the band wrote in its Instagram story. Some fans reported on social media that tension looked to have been brewing for several songs before it got to the point of fisticuffs. The band has reformed several times over the years, usually without Avery, but clearly the tensions have continued. The band’s tour with Love and Rockets is scheduled to conclude in Los Angeles on October 16.

One person drowned in southwest Poland and thousands were evacuated across the border in the Czech Republic after heavy rain continued to batter central Europe on Sunday, causing flooding in several parts of the region. Rivers overflowed from Poland to Romania, where four people were found dead on Saturday, after days of torrential rain in a low-pressure system named Boris. Some parts of the Czech Republic and Poland faced the worst flooding in almost three decades as towns evacuated thousands. That surpassed a record seen in heavy flooding in 1997, which partly damaged the town and claimed 56 lives in Poland. In Romania, authorities said the rain was less intense than on Saturday, when flooding killed four and damaged 5,000 homes.

Over the last year, a growing number of cinnamon products have been recalled in the U.S. due to high levels of lead. That prompted Consumer Reports to test brands such as Badia, McCormick and Morton & Bassett, along with smaller brands, across 17 mainstream and niche grocery stores. It found high levels of lead in 12 products, with levels reaching 3.5 parts per million. Paras cinnamon powder had the most lead, according to Consumer Reports, containing 3.52 ppm. The FDA has wound down some of its response efforts to its cinnamon applesauce investigation but will continue to monitor other products in stores for high lead levels.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Saturday he is being investigated for collecting a whale specimen. Kennedy said that he responded in a letter, baselessly linking the National Marine Fisheries Service with whale deaths and calling for the agency to investigate. Kennedy did not go into details about the whale incident, but his daughter had previously described a situation involving a whale that took place 30 years ago. Kennedy endorsed Trump in August and has since been on the campaign trail urging supporters to back the former president. The National Marine Fisheries Service, which is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, did not immediately respond to a request for comment and confirmation Saturday night.

More analysts are recommending "defensive" shares over AI plays as macro conditions change. With some questioning the AI rally, investors could benefit from non-tech growth companies, an analyst said. Similar to BofA's call, Morgan Stanley's Mike Wilson last week called the AI theme "overcooked" and said investors should shift to defensive shares. But in tune with what others had said, Diton also touted that utilities stocks as one meaningful investment to make right now. As bullish on AI as he may be, he warned that the market has become extremely concentrated in tech's leading names, and investors need to diversify.
