Much is written about the professional opportunities remote employees miss by not working in person. On an intellectual level, I realize it's silly to experience pangs of FOMO for work get-togethers that I can't possibly go to. But on a middle-school level, I can't help but feel a stab of sadness about not being included in office social life, especially during this most social time of year. But now that more employees are back to in-person work, there are good times to be had — and remote employees are taking notice. Remote work works for my life, my family, and my job, and despite the drawbacks, I'd rather be WFH than any other setup.

In the last week, crude futures contracts have flipped in and out of contango, where the prompt price of a commodity is lower than the future price, which suggests short-term weakness. Offers of Angolan and other West African crude oil to China, a main customer, are a barometer of physical crude demand from the country. In addition, European refiners have found themselves oversupplied with crude as an expected shortage owing to the looming EU ban on Russian oil has yet to materialise.

Cameron County has charged a woman with trespassing SpaceX's facility in Texas, Sheriff Garza said. The 20-year-old said she was a SpaceX worker and wanted to speak to Elon Musk, per a press release. Parker had stated that she worked at SpaceX and wanted to speak to Musk, the press release said. SpaceX's facility in south Texas, near Boca Chica village, is where the company plans to launch its Starship rocket from. Police issued an arrest warrant in May 2021 for a YouTuber who got into the SpaceX facility and filmed himself walking around the launch site, near the Starship rocket.
