"Major League Soccer joins the Philadelphia Union and our entire soccer community in mourning the tragic passing of Union goalkeeper Holden Trent," according to a Major League Soccer statement on Sunday. “The Philadelphia Union is devastated by the heartbreaking passing of Holden Trent,” the Union said in a statement. CNN —There was plenty for fans to get their teeth stuck into in Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season. They are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL after overcoming their recent rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, on Sunday. All-in-all, after seven weeks of the NFL season, the AFC is heating up with multiple potential superpowers really kicking into gear. And things went from bad to worse on Sunday when starting quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending injury. The only thing yet to slow down Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels in his rookie season? The rookie left the first quarter of Washington’s game against Carolina with what the Commanders called a rib injury that left him questionable to return. Daniels was visibly frustrated, taking off his helmet and throwing it to the turf. Daniels, off to one of the best statistical starts to a career by a quarterback in NFL history, had enjoyed another sensational start prior to the injury, rushing for 46 yards on the Commanders’ first play from scrimmage. 2 pick in last year's NFL Draft, Daniels has thrown for 1,404 yards and six touchdowns with only two interceptions.

A man was fatally shot and nine other people were wounded, including three children, after two groups fired at each other as crowds from a Tennessee State University homecoming parade were thinning out Saturday, Nashville police said. Aaron Jones (15.7 fantasy ppg) has been a good pick but left early Sunday with a hip injury. The only bright spot for Las Vegas is rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who is 76th in fantasy scoring (13.3). Brian Thomas Jr. is 35th in fantasy scoring (16.2 ppg), which is second-best among rookie wide receivers behind only Malik Nabers.
