The pandemic accelerated the rise of telehealth, which these DTC companies are a part of both culturally and legally. Hims & Hers Health has a market cap of over $4 billion. Those at the forefront of the DTC health revolution have American guys right where they want them: insecure, on edge, and ready to open their wallets. Plenty of doctors have sounded the alarm about DTC telehealth companies, and some firms have gotten into legal trouble, too. For all the issues with DTC companies, it's fair to note that traditional healthcare settings are far from perfect.

Heading into November's U.S. presidential election, professional investors agree on one strategy — diversification remains key. Diversification to hedge tax rate risk FBB Capital Partners' Mike Bailey said that should former President Donald Trump win, his tax cuts might mean better overall prospects for equities. Bailey emphasized that while his investment strategy avoids predicting macroeconomic events and timing the market, Depending on the election's outcome, there could obviously be different results for investors, investors could find it helpful to look at the extreme outcomes of the election. He recommended diversifying across different asset classes, since higher tax rates could lead to downside in the equity market. "If tax rates change, I don't think bonds are going to move that much, so you're pretty safe on that side," he said.

When it comes to higher education, the ruling will impose more barriers on regulations that are particularly controversial, like efforts to forgive student debt. The Education Department is working on finalizing its second attempt at a broader debt relief plan, which it hopes to implement this fall. But striking down Chevron could pose even more barriers to debt relief and many higher education regulations borrowers rely on. After the Supreme Court's Chevron ruling, Sen. The nature of illegal lockouts means they are hard to track directly. One of the responding officers calls a sergeant over, who says there's nothing else they can do. While only 14% of lockout calls led to a police report, 86% of calls about shoplifting did. As they walk over, one of the officers tells the other to look up "illegal lockout" on his phone. A 2006 bill that would have defined illegal lockouts for all Illinois residents was defeated.

In 2022, Delta Air Lines offered passengers $10,000 cash to take a different flight after overselling a flight from Michigan to Minnesota amid the summer's post-pandemic travel chaos. DOT rules entitle passengers to hundreds of dollars in compensation if they are involuntarily bumped from a flight, under certain terms and conditions. How to lower the odds of getting bumped from a flightThere's nothing you can do to guarantee you won't get bumped from an overbooked flight, as one traveler who said he was bumped off an American Airlines flight learned the hard way. According to the DOT's 2023 consumer air travel data, Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines, and Hawaiian Airlines involuntarily bumped 0, 3, and 5 people, respectively, over the entire year. On the other end of the spectrum, American Airlines and Frontier Airlines involuntarily bumped over 10,000 passengers each in 2023.

The stock market's leaders are overvalued and could suffer a big correction, RBA's Richard Bernstein said. The RBA chief investment officer pointed to a discrepancy between the debt and equity markets, which could hint at a soon-to-come market correction. But, only a narrow group of stocks are dominating the equity market, which implies profits aren't expanding for most companies. While large-cap stocks tanked during the lost decade of the 2000s, small-cap, energy, and emerging market stocks did exceedingly well. In a previous note, he said the stock market's shifting leadership from the most-hyped names to underloved equities presents once-in-a-generation opportunity for investors.
