Ahead of Donald Trump’s Tuesday appearance in the heavily Latino city of Allentown, Pennsylvania, a comedian’s racist joke about Puerto Ricans at the former president’s Madison Square Garden rally drew fresh blowback. “However, the other five million who live in the United States, whom they also labeled as trash, can vote.”One of those five million Puerto Rican voters is Allentown resident Efraín Dávila. Hinchcliffe made his racist jokes in an election cycle in which Republicans have said they are messaging to Latinos as Americans. But the comedian at his rally attacked Puerto Ricans, who are American citizens at birth, not immigrants, said Mike Madrid, a Republican consultant who opposes Trump. Madrid added that it is more difficult to waive off the comedian’s racist jokes, because they did not come from Trump.

Ahead of Election Day, Business Insider spoke with voters about how family and reproductive healthcare access will influence their decision. Along the spectrum of support for abortion access, one common thread stood out: The cost of raising a family. In terms of abortion access, Trump has bragged about his role in overturning Roe v. Wade — a decision that led to 41 states with bans. In her first time voting for president, Sark said she plans to vote third party, likely for Green Party candidate Jill Stein. "I don't think that there's really anything that we can do about abortion in this election," Sark said.

By Mark MurrayThe razor-close presidential election could very well come down to this question: Will the infrequent voters who back Donald Trump by double digits actually turn out? And she carries the tiny share of voters who participated in 2022 but not 2020 by 9 points (52% to 43%). And he’s carrying the voters who didn’t partake in either 2020 or 2022 by 10 points (50% to 40%). On the other hand, NBC News recently observed a pair of focus groups of voters who didn’t participate in the 2020 election but are planning to this time around. The base GOP voters Trump is most focused on aren’t necessarily the same voters who are key to the coalition Snyder is trying to build. New York CNN —Target is lowering the price of its Thanksgiving meal bundle, adding to the roughly 8,000 products that have been discounted as it attempts to attract inflation-weary shoppers during the holiday season. Target is the latest major retailer to chop the price of its Thanksgiving meal bundle, joining Aldi and Walmart in a holiday price war. Sam’s Club last week announced a Member’s Mark Thanksgiving meal, which feeds up to 10 people for under $100, made up of the warehouse club’s private label products and is delivered already cooked. Food price inflation has moderated substantially during the past year, Consumer Price Index data shows. Gomez said Target customers are buying in bulk to save money, or purchasing smaller items that have cheaper prices compared to their full-sized counterpart.

Target is lowering prices on more than 2,000 items across an array of categories in a bid to offer more discounts to cash-strapped customers as the holiday season approaches. Both Target and Walmart have also sought to lean in to more store-brand offerings as a means of offering discounts. The most recent official retail sales data showed ongoing strength in consumer spending, while the pace of 12-month inflation continues to approach the Federal Reserve's official 2% target. However, research from a new Federal Reserve paper suggests lower-income households continue to struggle financially, something reflected in a lower pace of retail sales growth for that cohort. Target recently announced it was hiring 100,000 seasonal workers for the holidays — in line with the previous three years.

Including Detroit, Trump this year has pointedly attacked the most populous cities in three battleground states crucial to winning the White House: Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
