Elon Musk is asking a federal court to stop OpenAI from converting into a fully for-profit business. Attorneys representing Musk, his AI startup xAI, and former OpenAI board member Shivon Zilis filed for a preliminary injunction against OpenAI on Friday. More than other justices on their respective sides, conservative Alito and liberal Kagan are sharp-tongued strategic questioners. As usual, Alito and Kagan began referring to each other’s questions but with barely a glance toward the other at their elbow.
