Goldman Sachs just came out with its official 2024 outlook — and has a message penned by Taylor Swift for investors. The strategist penned his 2024 outlook after Swift's "All You Had To Do Was Stay" — a song from the singer-songwriter's "1989" album. As homage to the global icon, our 2024 US Equity Outlook is subtitled 'All You Had To Do Was Stay' – invested," Kostin wrote. The strategist expects rate cuts in the fourth quarter of next year. He recommended three strategies for equity investors: buy quality stocks, own growth names with a high return on invested capital (ROIC), and invest in beaten-down cyclicals.

On TikTok, about a third of the content we watched were ads — but it didn't always feel that way. Other users have complained on the site that they are receiving ads "all over their FYP" or ads "every 6 videos." We focused solely on TikTok videos and slideshows and excluded TikTok stories and TikTok livestreams — even streams that were explicitly there to sell products, like QVC. The key difference is that you scroll past a TikTok ad. Kristen Schiele, a USC Marshall School of Business professor, told Insider we could see an increased ad volume since advertisers push more ad content around the holiday season.

Aldean and Anthony's dominance wasn't long — and Combs did earn a 2024 Grammy nomination for best country solo performance — but Wallen stands out as an obvious exclusion. While “Last Night” is nominated for best country song, a songwriter's award, Wallen himself isn't despite his successful year. Monét has also picked up record of the year and best R&B song nominations for her glossy, brassy “On My Mama,” best R&B performance and best traditional R&B performance. The Writers Guild of America's labor deal with Hollywood studios was billed as a big win for writers, but industry experts fear the agreement's artificial intelligence guardrails won't be enough. The contract does, however, leave room for studios to train AI using preexisting material. WGA's original May proposal, which triggered the strike, would have disallowed studios from using any materials to train AI outright. Hollywood studios training AI with preexisting materials could create a whole new set of issues for writers by allowing the studios to use previous work to generate similar materials without the writer's consent or even awareness. Allowing studios to train AI with preexisting material was a "punt" down the line, and studios will inevitably "push to use AI as far as possible," said Peter Csathy, founder and chairman of media legal advisory company Creative Media.

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon spoke with Bloomberg about how he thinks AI will impact the future of work. Dimon said that he thinks AI will eventually cut down the work week to three and a half days. Many leaders have been advocating for a 4-day workweek, with AI making this move more plausible. JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon thinks that the next generation of workers will only need to go into the office 3.5 days a week, thanks to AI. "Your children will live to 100 and not have cancer because of technology and they'll probably be working three and a half days a week," Dimon told Bloomberg.

The film follows a similar release by pop superstar Taylor Swift, whose Eras Tour concert film will be distributed in cinemas in North America starting Oct. 13. The concert films provide cinema chains such as AMC, Cinemark and Cineplex, with high-profile titles to help fill gaps caused by a prolonged strike by actors and writers in Hollywood. AMC's rival Cinemark (CNK.N) also announced that it will play the concert film in its U.S. theaters. Both cinema chains said their standard showtime tickets in the U.S. will start at $22. There are many benefits to using ChatGPT on your resume: It can help with grammar and spelling. And if you're starting from scratch, it can be a good way to get a first draft of your resume going. Still, there's one major problem with using it: You never know if what it spits out after a prompt is going to be true. "It is going to hallucinate information and it is going to take leaps of faith," she says. "The more blanks you fill for it," she says, "the less likely it's going to give you inaccurate information."

SAG-AFTRA actors and Writers Guild of America (WGA) writers walk the picket line outside Disney Studios in Burbank, California, U.S., July 25, 2023. Writers and actors share common concerns, including the desire for higher pay and for curbs on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in entertainment. The Writers Guild of America (WGA), which went on strike May 2, reached a tentative deal with studios Sunday. Negotiators for the SAG-AFTRA actors' union have not held talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), which represents Walt Disney (DIS.N), Netflix (NFLX.O) and other studios, since this summer. In what lasted for almost five months, the writer's strike has seemingly reached an end. In the last writers strike, in 2008, board members voted two days after a deal was reached, and members voted two days after that. The studios that make up the AMPTP opted to finish a deal with writers — who went on strike two months earlier — before even beginning to deal with actors. It was three months into the writers strike before the AMPTP reached out to begin negotiations, and the initial talks sputtered after a just a few days.

A jury determined after a six-day trial in May that Sheeran's song did not infringe Townsend's copyright in "Let's Get It On."
