Reports that Prince William had an affair with Rose Hanbury have been quietly deleted from some news websites. Rumors circulating about Rose Hanbury and Prince William first emerged in 2019. Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images, Chris Jackson/Getty ImagesRumors about a relationship between Hanbury and William have been swirling since at least 2019. The talk about Hanbury and William ebbed and flowed in the years that followed, sometimes given a wider audience on social media as well as US and UK media publications. The outlets, Kensington Palace, and representatives for Hanbury didn't respond to July 10 requests for comment from BI.

A new report from Moody's on Wednesday warns that generative AI and deepfakes are among the election integrity issues that could present a risk to U.S. institutional credibility. In a letter to Rosenworcel, it encouraged the FCC to delay its decision until after the elections because its changes would not be mandatory across digital political ads. Some social media platforms have already self-adopted some sort of AI disclosure ahead of regulations. Google requires all political ads with modified content that "inauthentically depicts real or realistic-looking people or events" to have disclosures, but doesn't require AI disclosures on all political ads. Thirteen states have laws on election interference and deepfakes, eight of which were enacted since January.

When Liberty Tower went up for sale in Manhattan’s financial district in 1978, there was only one bidder for the 33-story skyscraper. And they were everywhere, although, naturally, New York City was a magnet, as it has always been for L.G.B.T.Q.+ people looking for a place in which they can be themselves. New York City was where you lost your soul, and we wanted to be closer to the earth. I wore an eight-and-a-half-foot-tall Statue of Liberty costume to the Easter Parade in New York City, and Kirsten came along with me. After "The Stolen Kids of Sarah Lawrence" was published in April 2019, a joint FBI and NYPD task force began investigating the allegations. Ray (born Lawrence Grecco) was indicted on charges including sex trafficking, forced labor, conspiracy, racketeering, tax evasion, and exploitation. In early 2023, Judge Lewis Liman sentenced Ray, then 63, to serve 60 years in prison. Later that year, several of the cult's survivors filed a lawsuit against Sarah Lawrence, saying the school failed to protect them.

Pines, agaves, the scents of salt and resin were inspiration for designer Massimo Giorgetti at MSGM as the label celebrated their 15th anniversary. “This collection speaks of encounters — ‘icontri’ — between the city and the beach and among people who love life,” said Napoli-born De Sarno. New Jersey officials revealed this week that they are looking at the licenses at his three golf courses there. AdvertisementThese states prohibit felons or people convicted of "moral" offenses such as fraud from holding a liquor license. Say Trump is landlord to the bar operators at one of these properties, and it's the bar operators who hold the liquor license, Pierce said. If Trump is charging the bar a flat rent, his felony status won't impact that liquor license. Trump would still have options, though, even if his hush-money conviction voided one or more of his liquor licenses.

In 2013, the share of self-identified liberals among young women exceeded the share among young men by 5 percentage points; by 2023, that gap was nearly four times as large. (In that survey, young men were substantially more likely than young women to say they rely on YouTube as a major source of news.) (In the Harvard poll, one-fourth of young women identified in some way as LGBTQ, more than double the share of young men.) “He’s got to make up for the defection of young men by winning young women by more, and he’s got to get every young woman he can out to vote,” said Lake, the Democratic pollster. Biden’s best hope of avoiding a catastrophic decline in his youth support is that the number of young women Trump repels exceeds the number of young men he attracts.

“China calls on the international community, especially countries with influence, to play a constructive role for the peace and stability of the region,” the ministry added. The decision by Iran’s leaders to strike at Israel directly has pushed the shadow war between the two regional foes into the open. That’s why China does not condemn Iran,” said Yun Sun, director of the China program at the Washington-based Stimson Center think tank. Trying to juice ratings in an election year, a major TV network hired a pair of provocative commentators from the political establishment to inject some spiky opinion into its otherwise-staid campaign coverage. These days, the role of the “paid contributor” — a commentator on contract, to bloviate on demand — is fully baked into the TV news ecosystem. Or, in the case of Ronna McDaniel, as the former chairwoman of the Republican Party. Ms. McDaniel’s tenure as a paid contributor at NBC News was less successful than those of many of her peers. Editor’s Note: This is a version of CNN’s Royal News, a weekly dispatch bringing you the inside track on Britain’s royal family. William, a source told CNN, had called the Greek royal family to let them know of his last-minute change of plans. Many saw the prince’s recent return to royal duties as a signal that the prognosis in the Wales household was improving quickly. If the role of monarchy is presence, continuity and unity, it was a stark visual seeing the royal family enter the chapel without several key senior faces among them. It’s worth emphasizing that the royal source told CNN that Kate “continues to be doing well” in her recovery.

It appears on book covers by everyone from Jane Austen to William Faulkner to Martin Amis, but naming specific examples is a silly exercise. Walk into any bookshop and you’ll find that a good number of book covers feature Bodoni, a typeface created by Giambattista Bodoni in the late 18th century. If you read books, a piece of Bodoni is probably lurking on your shelf in gorgeous silence right now. Brand logos that either are Bodoni or owe a serious debt to it include Valentino, La Mer, Calvin Klein and Brookstone. A graphic designer seeking shorthand for “sophisticated” might reach for Bodoni or one of its relatives.

Activist Commentary: Starboard is a very successful activist investor and has extensive experience helping companies focus on operational efficiency and margin improvement. Additionally, Starboard has extensive experience helping portfolio companies improve margins from a board level and adding one or two of their nominees to the board could expedite this. CEO Issue: Alight's CEO Stephan Scholl is a talented technologist and software expert, but not an experienced operator of a benefits administration company. Like the experienced activist Starboard is, the firm wanted to preserve its options as it speaks privately with Alight. Shareholders would certainly benefit from the addition of two or three Starboard directors to the board.

Schele Williams first saw “The Wiz” when a tour of the original Broadway production came through Dayton, Ohio. She even used the show’s soaring finale, “Home,” as one of her audition songs. Now, after working on Broadway as an actor (“Aida”) and an associate director (“Motown”), she is directing the first Broadway revival of “The Wiz” in almost 40 years. It’s a chance, Williams said, to celebrate what “The Wiz” has meant to her and to pass the story along to her daughters. Since becoming a Broadway hit in 1975, “The Wiz,” a gospel, soul and R&B take on Dorothy’s adventures in Oz, largely composed by Charlie Smalls, with a book by William F. Brown, has been a vibrant cornerstone of Black culture.

Interpol is the world’s largest police organization. It serves as a powerful bulletin board that governments and law enforcement agencies use to team up to pursue fugitives across the globe. Here are some of the ways countries can exploit Interpol:Red NoticesInterpol’s red notice, the closest thing to an international arrest warrant, has long been dogged by controversy. And William F. Browder, a London-based human rights campaigner, has been repeatedly targeted for arrest by Russia. In response, Interpol has toughened oversight, making it harder than ever to misuse red notices.

For years, strongmen and autocrats had a novel weapon in their hunt for political enemies. They used Interpol, the world’s largest police organization, to reach across borders and grab them — even in democracies. In response, Interpol has toughened oversight of its arrest alerts, known as red notices, making it harder than ever to misuse them. Abuse of this important antiterrorism tool got so bad that Interpol temporarily blocked Turkey from using it. Belarus is now subject to special monitoring after Interpol spotted a wave of politically motivated entries, officials said.

(AP) — Ellen Gilchrist, a National Book Award winner whose short stories and novels drew on the complexities of people and places in the American South, has died. An obituary from her family said Gilchrist died Tuesday in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where she had lived in her final years. “Victory Over Japan,” a collection of short stories set in Mississippi and Arkansas, was awarded the National Book Award for fiction in 1984. China’s responseThe Houthi rebels in Yemen started firing missiles and drones at ships in the Red Sea in mid-November, in what they say is an act of solidarity with Palestinians. Chinese officials repeatedly stressed that the Red Sea crisis is a “spillover” from the conflict in Gaza, citing an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as the top priority. Beijing’s reluctance to wade into the Red Sea crisis reflects these geopolitical calculations. The Chinese government readout of the meeting between Wang and Sullivan did not mention the Red Sea. Egypt is losing millions of dollars per day from the reduced traffic at the Suez Canal at the northern end of the Red Sea.
