CNN —People who only exercise on weekends have a similar risk of developing mild dementia to those who work out more frequently, a new study has found. A team of academics from Latin America and Europe set out to determine whether the frequency of exercise affects the risk of developing mild dementia. The finding led the team to conclude that 13% of cases of mild dementia could be avoided if all middle-aged people exercised at least once or twice a week. When compared with the group that did not exercise, the weekend warriors were 13% less likely to develop mild dementia, and those in the regular and combined groups were 12% less likely. I feel quite strongly that the weekend warriors around the world should be told that what they are doing is fine.”He added: “The weekend warrior research is starting to add up now.

CNN —A “staggering array” of witches’ marks have been discovered on the walls of a Tudor property in England. News of the discovery, aptly timed to coincide with Halloween, was released by English Heritage, a charity that looks after hundreds of historic monuments, buildings and sites. These include a “staggering array” of designs, according to English Heritage, though there’s a notable concentration in the servants’ wing of the hall. Over the course of two years, long-time English Heritage volunteer Rick Berry discovered and mapped around 20 carvings at the Tudor property. CNN —Walmart, already partially responsible for the slow demise of America’s drug stores, is launching yet another CVS killer: 30-minute prescription delivery. Walmart’s pitch to costumers is simple – fill your prescription, plus get some groceries delivered to your door, all in one order. Prescription delivery was the number one most-requested service by its customers, the company said in a press release. The company has nearly 4,600 pharmacy locations across the United States. Earlier this month, Walgreens said it is closing approximately 1,200 locations, while CVS said it planned to cut about 2,900 corporate jobs.

Walmart will start to deliver prescriptions to customers' doorsteps. As CVS and Walgreens shutter hundreds of stores nationwide to shore up profits and investor sentiment, Walmart said Tuesday that it is offering a new option for customers: delivering prescriptions to their doorsteps. The prescription delivery service is another example of how Walmart is trying to outmatch competitors on convenience along with low prices. Still, it is unclear how much market share Walmart could win from CVS and Walgreens, both of which offer same-day, one-day and two-day prescription deliveries. Walmart's delivery service will be available for new prescriptions and refills, the company said.
