CNN —A museum in Australia has come clean: The Picasso paintings hanging in its women’s restroom were forged by one of its own curators. The Ladies Lounge first made headlines in 2020 as a female-only space displaying what were presented as original Picassos once owned by Kaechele’s great-grandmother. Enclosed in green silk curtains, the Ladies Room was opened for female visitors in 2020. I liked that a misogynist would dominate the walls of the Ladies Lounge. The Ladies Lounge, a green velvet-draped room adorned with gold detailing, opened “to any and all ladies” in December 2020.

CNN —Two flintlock Gossard pistols once owned by French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte have sold at auction for €1.69 million ($1.83 million). They were originally valued at an estimated €1.2 million-€1.5 million ($1.3 million- $1.63 million). According to the auctioneer, they were given to Napoleon’s friend and squire Armand de Caulaincourt just after the emperor attempted suicide in April 1814. The emperor “had frequently examined his pistols, removing bullets from his nécessaire” during this time, Osenat reports Caulaincourt as saying. Last November, Osenat sold one of Napoleon’s famous black hats for a record €1.932 million ($2.1 million).

American Express already owns Resy, a rival restaurant booking app, and gives special table access to Amex customers that are not available to other customers. But experts say that Amex’s acquisition gives the credit card company more control over velvet rope access to dinner — and who is shut out. It may help restaurants attract Amex customers with deeper wallets, said Alex Susskind, a professor of food and beverage management at Cornell University. Composed of more than 50 items, the collection featured several of Diana’s evening gowns, suits, shoes, hats and handbags, as well as personal letters and photographs. Its designer, Victor Edelstein, also created the famous off-the-shoulder, midnight blue velvet evening gown Diana wore while dancing with John Travolta at the White House. Diana wore this tulle gown to the premiere of "The Phantom of the Opera." It bears cipher of his father, King George V, and was made by Garrard – the jewelers who have produced several pieces for the royal family, including Diana’s sapphire engagement ring.

Now, the King’s very own blue suede shoes have sold for the princely sum of £120,000 (around $152,000) after they went up for grabs at British auction house Henry Aldridge and Son on Friday. The shoes were bought by a client from California, Henry Aldridge and Son told CNN. That night Elvis gave me these blue suede shoes size 10 1/2. According to Henry Aldridge and Son, another iconic piece of music history was sold on the same day as Presley’s shoes.

I launched into the story of my hair loss journey, attempting to convey the stress and uncertainty that had defined the past year.
