Industry leaders told Business Insider that they hoped to hear the candidates discuss crypto guidelines, regulation, and key appointments on Tuesday night, but little was said about any of those topics. "What we really need is either a debate or a whole section of a debate devoted to economic issues," Tedeschi said. Tedeschi told Business Insider that we need clarity about Trump's proposed tariffs, which are the "most consequential and radical thing that he's proposed." Chris Larsen, the billionaire co-founder of blockchain payments company Ripple, told Business Insider that Harris was "spectacular."

New York CNN —The battle over “founder mode” versus “manager mode” is one of those manufactured dramas that only a small segment of the world cares about — like going to Davos or Cannes or the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The idea is that a founder knows their company the way a parent knows their child. Graham doesn’t really define founder mode because every founder and every firm is different. CNN —Glenn Lowry, the longest-serving director of New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), is stepping down after three decades in the role, he announced Tuesday. Welcoming 2.7 million visitors a year, according to the latest figures, MoMA is the USA’s third-most-visited art museum after the nearby Metropolitan Museum of Art and Washington DC’s National Gallery of Art. Through exhibitions, commissions and acquisitions, Lowry used art to address some of the most pressing social themes of the day. New York CNN —As Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump take the stage Tuesday night in Philadelphia in their first face-to-face meeting, the spotlight will also shine on the host of the debate: ABC News. And Trump’s campaign had already accepted the debate rules as sent out by ABC News’ general counsel. But ABC executives remained confident both candidates would show up, and ultimately, the Harris campaign relented. In the days ahead of the debate, Trump has attacked the network, questioning its impartiality. Both Muir and Davis are experienced primary debate moderators, but neither has moderated a presidential debate between the Democratic and Republican candidates.
