Borrowers can also lower monthly payments by paying more upfront to buy down their mortgage rate. Buyers can then use that money to buy down the interest rate on their mortgage and reduce their payments. Oct 18 (Reuters) - Daniel Loeb's Third Point has built a significant position in toothpaste maker Colgate-Palmolive Co (CL.N) and sees value in a potential spinoff of its Hill's Pet Nutrition business and other brands, the activist investor said in a letter seen by Reuters.
