Lebanese health officials warned the public to avoid using handheld communication devices on Tuesday after powerful Iran-backed militant and political group Hezbollah said pagers had exploded throughout the country. “The ministry requests all citizens who own wireless communication devices to stay away from them until the truth of what is happening is revealed,” the National News Agency quoted the health ministry as saying. Footage that Swierk recently captured of submerged anoles shows prominent bubbles swelling and deflating on the reptiles’ heads. Diving anoles aren’t fast runners and rely mostly on camouflage to hide from predators such as birds, snakes, mammals and other lizards. For diving anoles, gular pumping may also play a part in circulating stored oxygen, affecting how long anoles can stay underwater. Ahead of Combs' expected afternoon court appearance, his lawyers offered a $50 million bond to keep him out of jail before his trial. "In short, if the defendant wanted to flee, he has the money, manpower, and tools to do so quickly and without detection," prosecutors wrote in the filing. But in the past, Combs has pressured security staff to stay quiet about his activities, prosecutors wrote. "When a member of hotel security staff intervened, the defendant attempted to offer the hotel security officer a stack of cash to ensure his silence," prosecutors wrote. "After the security guard refused the defendant's bribe, and after coordination between the defendant and his employees, the defendant's staff contacted other members of hotel security."

This as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Nathan Marx, a deckhand for a superyacht. I knew some friends who had entered the yachting industry since leaving school, and it looked very intriguing and adventurous. AdvertisementMy previous job had long hours and was hard work, which made me comfortable stepping into the yachting industry. We also had the privilege of hiking up into the old city, an amazing experience I don't think I would've had otherwise if I wasn't into the yachting industry. But the yachting industry is a tight-knit community that's made me very happy over the past few months, so I'll stay for as long as possible.

Are trampolines safe for kids? A doctor explains

The American Academy of Pediatrics issued a statement in 2012 to strongly recommend against the use of recreational trampolines in kids. Jumpers on the same apparatus increases injury risk, especially for the smallest individuals, according to the AAP. The report also found that injuries from full-size trampolines had a six times higher risk of requiring surgery compared with injuries from mini-size trampolines. Stay close to your child and instruct them not to try dangerous maneuvers like flips. If our kids do go to a home that has trampolines, we try to steer them away from the trampoline.

Someone like Routh was quite easy to meet in Ukraine in the opening months of Russia’s full-scale war in 2022. But already, Moscow’s prolific echo chambers have begun to fashion a narrative in which US support for Ukraine is somehow extremist. People stand near the sports complex of a university after Russian missile attacks in Kyiv, Ukraine, on September 2. The clamor of support for Ukraine to receive US permission to fire longer-range US-supplied missiles at targets deeper inside Russian territory had been growing. The sudden insertion of a wayward extremist like Routh is a loud, confusing wild card, at a time when support for Ukraine urgently needed a calm and balanced voice.
