Whatever comes next is unlikely to mirror the previous era, leaving men’s tennis in an unfamiliar position, shorn of its three biggest icons who transcended the court. Carlos Alcaraz has already won four grand slam titles at the age of 21. “There has to be a real recalibration … because I already see people talking, like, ‘Can Alcaraz catch Djokovic’s grand slam record?’” Rothenberg tells CNN Sport. Medvedev and Dominic Thiem, who is retiring at the end of this year, are still the only men born in the 1990s to win a grand slam.

On Monday, the tennis star shared a photo of The Peninsula Hotel with a caption describing her experience. "Yikes @peninsulaparis I've been denied access to rooftop to eat in an empty restaurant of nicer places but never with my kids," Williams wrote. "Dear Mrs. Williams, Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight," the hotel said in a reply to Williams' post. One comment pointed out that the rooftop restaurant did not even take reservations, according to the Peninsula's website.

The 2024 Paris Olympics are attracting new funds for lesser-known sports and women's teams, with USA women's rugby sevens, water polo and women's track and field scoring major contributions this year. The USA women's rugby sevens team earned a $4 million gift from investor Michele Kang earlier this week. Flavor Flav announced a five-year partnership with USA water polo, which includes funds for the 2024 USA women's team as well as serving as the "official hype man" for both the men's and women's teams. The USA women's water polo team has won gold for the past three Olympics, and Flavor Flav aims to elevate their visibility. CNN —A teenage boy has been charged with murder after three young girls were killed in a stabbing attack at a dance class in northwest England on Monday, British police said. Eight other children suffered stab wounds in the attack and five of them are in critical condition, police said. Two adults also remain in critical condition after being injured in the attack. Police said five people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence in Southport, in which more than 50 police officers were injured. “Our work to identify all those responsible for the despicable violence and aggression seen on the streets of Southport on Tuesday continues,” Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss said in a statement.
