Durbin serves as chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which plays an oversight role over the Justice Department. The federal government hasn’t published a comprehensive report on corporate crime trends since 1979, the Democratic lawmakers said Thursday. A Justice Department report titled “Illegal Corporate Behavior” recommended that the agency start publicizing enforcement data through the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
