An appeals court on Tuesday agreed to dismiss charges related to Donald Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents, effectively ending Special Counsel Jack Smith's prosecution of Trump. A spokesperson for Smith’s office declined to comment. Federal prosecutors in August had asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to restore the case. The two remaining criminal cases, the New York case involving hush money payments and a Georgia election interference case, are also in limbo. Jackson, 37, is a wind turbine service technician at Vestas, a wind turbine manufacturer, in Bee County, Texas, and earns $73,000 per year. Wind turbine technicians face one of the highest rates of work-related injuries, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Despite the high demand for wind turbine service technicians, the profession remains "underrated and overlooked," she adds, offering untapped potential for job-seekers who crave adventure and a competitive salary. While you don't need a bachelor's degree to become a wind turbine service technician, some jobs might require you to complete a 2-year technical program or apprenticeship. Before becoming a wind technician, Jackson, who has four children, spent a decade as a stay-at-home mom.

Traffic infractions against Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill — which escalated to a tense police confrontation caught on video two months ago — were summarily dismissed on Monday when officers didn't come to court, records showed. Bystanders recorded video of Hill lying face down on the ground as officers placed his hands behind his back and appeared to cuff him. At least two Dolphins teammates, tight end Jonnu Smith and defensive lineman Calais Campbell, were driving by, saw Hill pulled over and stopped to help. All of those Dolphins made it to their Sept. 8 season opener, won by Miami, 20-17, over the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. “If I wasn’t Tyreek Hill, Lord knows, I probably would have been, like, worst-case scenario, I would have been shot or would have been locked up” and “put behind bars, you know, for a simple speeding ticket,” Hill told NBC News a day after the incident.

Millions of travelers on Tuesday will battle severe weather and congested highways to reach loved ones for Thanksgiving. The National Weather Service (NWS) said in an update early Monday that a pair of weather systems were expected to bring an "Arctic outbreak" across the Central U.S. Wednesday and into Thanksgiving Thursday. Temperatures in the Northern Great Plains will only reach the high teens and 20s Tuesday and Wednesday, 15-25 degrees lower than the seasonal average. The NWS office for the Twin Cities said that Thursday could see lows of zero to 13 degrees Fahrenheit. Israel’s war Cabinet was Tuesday meeting to discuss a plan for a cease-fire with Lebanon’s Hezbollah as its military launched fresh airstrikes on southern Beirut. Hezbollah says it is supporting the Palestinian resistance; Israel sees it as another attempt by Tehran to attack the Jewish State. Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said Monday his country’s security Cabinet would likely discuss the proposed truce when it met the following day. This was confirmed to NBC News by an Israeli source briefed on the matter. Lisa Johnson, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N., submitted the proposal last week to Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, an adviser to the speaker, Ali Hamdan, said.

The federal elections case led to a Supreme Court ruling granting a president limited immunity for official acts. This is likely to reinforce Trump’s belief that he will have almost unchecked authority and will therefore reverberate through the next four years and generations to come. And by voting the way they did, Americans effectively exonerated him in the federal cases — on charges that could have landed him in jail. Drew Angerer/Getty ImagesWhat the thwarting of accountability meansThere will be short- and long-term consequences from Trump escaping accountability. Jack Smith arrived in Washington almost two years ago with expectations that his assignment to investigate Donald J. Trump would be profoundly consequential. Mr. Smith filed two federal indictments against Mr. Trump, the first ever against a former president. The Justice Department has a longstanding policy against prosecuting a sitting president. The legacy of Mr. Smith’s investigation is shaping up to be a complex one. And for all Mr. Smith’s efforts to avoid having his work enmeshed in politics, Mr. Trump essentially put the voters between himself and federal prosecutors.

Week 12 saw plenty of heavy favorites face underdogs, but it didn’t prove as simple as many thought. Barkley rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the Eagles’ Week 1 victory over the Green Bay Packers. While that still might be the case, it’s not been smooth sailing for the Texans through 12 weeks of the season. He has struggled behind a porous offensive line and that affected the running game on Sunday with Mixon only having 22 yards on 14 carries. The Seahawks currently lead the division having gotten the favorable tiebreaker thanks to their Week 12 home victory over the Cardinals.

Mr. Trump was indicted for aiding a possible coup and multiple other charges, including revealing classified documents to his supporters at Mar-a-Lago. Is that weaponizing our justice system, or allowing it to do its job, regardless of the consequences? Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil’s former president, was just charged with inciting Brazil’s attempted coup when he lost his re-election bid in 2022. It seems Brazil’s justice system is more capable of upholding its laws than ours is. I am now totally disgusted with my country and the judicial system over the Donald Trump legal fiasco.
