The threads and microplastic pieces were discovered in the olfactory bulb, the part of the nose responsible for detecting odors that sits at the base of the brain. Microplastics are polymer fragments that can range from less than 0.2 inch (5 millimeters) down to 1/25,000th of an inch (1 micrometer). However, an April 2023 study found that microplastics made of polypropylene appeared to exacerbate the advance of breast cancer. After being shot at by the Secret Service, the suspect fled the scene. The man, who was spotted on a building rooftop about 147 yards away from the podium, was killed by a Secret Service sniper. "Look, all outdoor events are nightmares," Jeffrey James, a former Secret Service agent, told BI. James was a special agent for the Secret Service for 22 years, serving during the Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations. In an interview, he told BI that a golf course, one of Trump's oft-visited settings, presents unique challenges for the Secret Service.

CNN —Elon Musk deleted a post Monday morning that questioned why former President Donald Trump has faced two apparent assassination attempts in recent months while President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have not encountered any. “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala 🤔,” Musk wrote in the now-deleted X post. However, Musk subsequently responded to a similar post, replying with a thinking face emoji to a photo that noted the four presidents who preceded Trump faced no assassination attempts when Trump has apparently encountered two. CNN requested comment from the Secret Service, which is tasked with investigating perceived threats against the president and vice president – sometimes even if they are made in jest. Musk endorsed Trump for president after an assassination attempt in July, and he hosted Trump last month in an interview on X.It’s part of a rightward shift for Musk that has gained steam in recent years.
