Goff has been a model of efficiency, completing 74.1% of his passes while posting career bests in yards per attempt and passer rating. While other NFC contenders have struggled, Detroit looks arguably better than a season ago. The Eagles are healthier at receiver, have a terrific ground game and they’re improving on defense. AdvertisementNguyen: Getting two new coordinators takes some getting used to, but the Eagles look more comfortable both offensively and defensively. Defensively, Vic Fangio’s system is a hard one to learn but the Eagles now look like they’re playing a lot faster. Since the third week of the season, opponents are averaging just 12.8 points per game against Fangio’s defense. Nguyen: Before this week, the Titans were playing like an elite defense but their offense was letting them down.

New York Jets offensive lineman Xavier Newman was carted off the field in Pittsburgh after what appeared to be a serious injury Sunday against the Steelers. The team said Newman would miss the rest of the game with a neck injury. Newman was hurt in the third quarter when Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was intercepted by Pittsburgh’s Beanie Bishop Jr., who returned 41 yards. When he remained down, Jets teammates surrounded him out of bounds for several minutes. The "Sunday Night Football" broadcast reported that Newman was conscious and had movement in his limbs as he was strapped to a spine board before he was carted off and taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh.

Russell Wilson passes first testWhen Tomlin pivoted, sitting Fields in favor for a healthy Wilson, the decision was sure to have a microscope on it. Wilson found his rhythm as the game went on, showing great chemistry with George Pickens. Wilson and the Steelers capitalized on the miscue, when the QB hit Pickens for a touchdown to cap a four-play, 54-yard drive. That set the stage for Wilson to sneak the ball in, giving the Steelers an eight-point lead.
