New York CNN —Ticketmaster is linking arms with right-wing extremists, boosting their ability to reach mainstream audiences and profiting off their dangerous and hateful rhetoric ahead of the November election. That is because there is not a morsel of truth to how Ticketmaster is presenting Carlson to its customers. How can any decent person not only participate in enabling Carlson’s poisoning of the public discourse but also justify profiting off of his hateful rhetoric in the process? CNN also posed questions to the venues hosting Carlson, which include the Honda Center, T-Mobile Center, Delta Center, Dickies Arena, Intrust Bank Arena and others. Those uncomfortable decisions risk catapulting them squarely into the center of the information wars, where grifters like Carlson thrive.

There are a combination of factors that are dragging down some artists' ticket sales. Just having the big song doesn't necessarily always translate into ticket sales. But there are no guarantees that any of that will translate to hard ticket sales. "Just having the big song doesn't necessarily always translate into ticket sales." Hiccups are not all about ticket sales, either.

Its unfounded allegations became an article of faith for an untold number of Americans convinced that the election had been stolen. Mr. Andrews sued Mr. D’Souza, along with Salem and two individuals associated with the right-wing election-monitoring group True the Vote, for defamation in October 2022. “It was never our intent that the publication of the ‘2,000 Mules’ film and book would harm Mr. Andrews,” Salem said in a statement on Friday. In February, a lawyer for True the Vote told a Georgia court that it had no evidence to support its allegations of election fraud in the state. But the Department of Justice says those complaints are just the symptom of a more fundamental problem with Live Nation. Live Nation, for its part, says even if the lawsuit succeeds, it won’t lead to cheaper ticket prices. An uncertain path forwardTo fix the issue, regulators say Live Nation must be broken up. But based on past criticism of Live Nation, one possible outcome at a minimum could be a spinoff of Ticketmaster. Better customer serviceComplaints about Ticketmaster and Live Nation are nothing new.

Washington CNN —The US government and dozens of states sued Live Nation in a groundbreaking antitrust lawsuit on Thursday, alleging that for years the parent company of Ticketmaster abused its industry dominance to harm concertgoers nationwide. It is time to break up Live Nation-Ticketmaster.”In a statement, Live Nation called the DOJ’s allegations “baseless.”“The DOJ’s lawsuit won’t solve the issues fans care about relating to ticket prices, service fees, and access to in-demand shows,” Live Nation said in a statement. The lawsuit highlights how regulators now believe, more than a decade on, that the behavioral modifications Live Nation agreed to have failed. According to the lawsuit, Live Nation directly manages more than 400 artists, controls around 60% of concert promotions at major concert venues across the country, and controls more than 265 concert venues in North America. And through Ticketmaster, the suit says, Live Nation controls roughly 80% or more of major concert venues’ primary ticketing for concerts.

The U.S. Department of Justice is suing to break up Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, over alleged antitrust violations. "The DOJ's complaint attempts to portray Live Nation and Ticketmaster as the cause of fan frustration with the live entertainment industry. Live Nation and Ticketmaster merged in 2010, creating a dominant entity in the live event industry. Through Ticketmaster, Live Nation controls roughly 80% or more of major concert venues' primary ticketing for concerts, the complaint said. Live Nation earlier this month reported its "biggest Q1 ever," citing first-quarter revenue that was up 21% from the prior-year period.

Grof believes in something called an "inner healing intelligence," an innate capacity for self-healing that psychedelic therapy helps unleash. Another time, a patient who had come to an MDMA therapy session later acknowledged they had been under the influence of LSD during treatment.

"It's a risk-management framework," said Aron D'Souza, who founded the Peter Thiel-backed sporting event, in a conversation with Business Insider. The controversial sporting event, which organizers say could be held for the first time next year, is pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable in athletics. "The Enhanced Games promote themselves as the 'Olympics of the future' and state that they will 'pay athletes fairly,'" she told BI. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said Tuesday that a closed-door deal for Taylor Swift to perform in the city-state ensured she would not perform in other Southeast Asian countries during her Eras tour. The statement is the first confirmation from the city-state that the agreement for Swift to perform in Singapore contained exclusivity terms preventing her from performing in other countries. He also did not reveal the size of the grant to Swift, but stated the amount is "not anywhere as high as speculated." During her first three concerts in Singapore, Swift asked her audience to applaud — first the locals, then those who had traveled from overseas to come to the show. Exchange-traded funds come in many shapes and sizes. Some are plain vanilla, diversified index funds that let you invest in the entire stock and bond markets, and are excellent core holdings for the great majority of people. Then there are the quirky, narrowly focused E.T.F.s like the Inverse Cramer Tracker, which enables you to bet against the stock picks of the CNBC television host Jim Cramer. The fund is legal, approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission — and a money-loser since its inception last year. Betting against Jim Cramer just isn’t a great investing strategy.
