A passenger left her Apple AirPods on a plane after landing in San Francisco from Tokyo. Alisabeth Hayden told CNN a police officer helped her trace the AirPods to an airport worker's home. Shortly after getting off the plane on a layover at San Francisco International Airport, she realized she'd left her jacket behind. Hayden told CNN she enlisted the help of a detective at San Mateo police force who was working at SFO. TOKYO, Jan 7 (Reuters) - A Jetstar flight made an emergency landing at Chubu Centrair International Airport in central Japan on Saturday due to a bomb threat, though no device was found, officials said. Five sustained minor injuries while evacuating from the plane, an official at the Chubu airport police said. The flight was diverted to the Chubu airport, in Japan's industrial heartland of Aichi prefecture, after a potential security incident, and passengers disembarked via emergency slides, Jetstar Airways said in a statement. "Jetstar Japan is working closely with the Chubu airport and local authorities to investigate the situation," the company said, declining to comment further. A Narita spokesperson said there had been a bomb threat call for the flight but that details were unclear.

A Black teenager in Mississippi has died days after local police shot him in the head outside a discount store, and his relatives are questioning officers’ actions. Police shot Jaheim McMillan, 15, Thursday in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store in Gulfport, the state's second-largest city after Jackson, which lies about 160 miles to the north. Gulfport Police Chief Adam Cooper said an officer engaged an armed suspect, since identified as McMillan, resulting in shots being fired. WASHINGTON — A new poll commissioned by a super PAC aligned with President Joe Biden shows the president's overall approval has improved in three battleground states, but voters say he isn't handling certain issues like the economy and jobs well. The favorability rating in those states for former President Donald Trump declined from 44% in May to 39% in September. At least 60% of people in the three battleground states said they disliked how Biden has handled immigration, inflation and the national debt. It said the PAC will "continue to educate voters in swing states about the successes of the Biden administration." The poll surveyed 500 likely voters in each battleground state between Sept. 14 to 19 with a margin of error of 2.5% at the 95% confidence interval.
