The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers represent the two largest markets in Major League Baseball. They entered the season with the second-largest payroll in the sport (Yankees) and the fifth largest (Dodgers). They will now meet for a whopping twelfth time in the World Series, the most by any two teams. “This is sweeter — it’s even sweeter,” Judge said on Fox Sports about reaching the World Series and whether the reality matched expectations. “To have two Hall of Fame-type players in MVP seasons making their World Series debuts against each other, that’s only happened once,” Kepner said.

“Shark Tank” Over the Years Season 1 (2009-10) The show premiered against the backdrop of the Great Recession. “‘Shark Tank’ is not a game show,” said Kevin O’Leary, a cutthroat investor known sarcastically in the tank as Mr. “Shark Tank” debuted less than a year after the subprime mortgage crisis devastated the global economy. But those kinds of companies are rarely reflected on “Shark Tank” for one simple reason: They don’t make for good TV. “The buyer gave us a shot at Target because of the ‘Shark Tank’ appearance.”“We turn you into a rock star and you become part of the ‘Shark Tank’ culture and the lore of ‘Shark Tank’,” said Mr. O’Leary.

New York CNN —Aldi is releasing its lowest-priced Thanksgiving meal deal in five years — and undercutting one of its largest rivals — as inflation-weary consumers shift their shopping habits to more affordable private labels. “With 25% of US households now shopping Aldi, we know grocery prices are still top of mind for customers,” said CEO Jason Hart in a press release. As of August, grocery prices were rising at a pace of 0.9% annually, landing in line with the average increase seen in 2019, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. The German company has a low-cost business model and boasts that its prices are up to 50% cheaper than traditional supermarkets. At around 12,000 square feet, its stores are much smaller than a typical US supermarket of 40,000 square feet.

That includes researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), who are developing a set of wearable robotic limbs to help astronauts recover from falls. When the wearer falls over, an extra pair of limbs can extend out to provide leverage to help them stand, conserving energy for other tasks. The study found that falls were more common when, like Duke, astronauts were collecting samples or using tools – tasks that Artemis astronauts are likely to undertake. Kim Shiflett/NASA NASA astronaut Eric Boe wears Boeing's new spacesuit designed for astronauts who will fly on the CST-100 Starliner. Ballesteros plans to spend the next few years of his PhD using a “Swiss Army Knife technique” to turn SuperLimbs into a system for astronauts that can “address different important use cases, but all be one unified design.”SuperLimbs could help astronauts recover from falls, move efficiently, and do work.

Getting ready for the "two problematic stories," Wells Fargo and JPMorgan , which came later in the morning, took some real digging. ET – Wells Fargo shares turned and started inching up. With what you saw in Wells Fargo and JP Morgan on Friday. Think like this: When the psychology of the market changes, people don't want to bang out of Wells Fargo, they want to get in. CNN —Federal regulators granted SpaceX its long-awaited license to move forward with a fifth uncrewed test launch of Starship, the most powerful rocket system ever constructed. The FAA had been expected to hand down a license for this test launch weeks ago. SpaceX has also publicly denied reports that the company violated wastewater regulations with the deluge system, which SpaceX says uses potable water. Notably, the company launched a 2020 test flight of a prototype rocket, called Starship SN8, without obtaining prior approval from the FAA for a public safety waiver. At one point in 2023, for example, he said that he did not blame the FAA for holding up Starship launches.

"As long as the big three PBMs go unchecked, more pharmacy deserts will appear," Rochol said. Between 2023 and 2024, independent pharmacies in the CVS Caremark pharmacy network were reimbursed 67.5% higher on average than CVS Pharmacy locations, and 51.9% higher than other chain pharmacies in the state. The CVS spokesman also said that CVS pharmacies are not all serviced by Caremark, working with over 70 different PBMs. "There are unfortunately many factors for pharmacy closures in rural areas, including population declines and the growing use of online pharmacies." But Banas believes the pharmacy deserts will only grow, and lead to an increase the number of apps and digitization.

New York CNN —Fisher-Price is recalling more than 2 million infant Snuga Swings due to a suffocation risk found after reports that five children died sleeping in the device. Fisher-Price is providing a $25 refund to owners who remove those parts, which is available to access on Mattel’s website. Despite that remedy, Richard Trumka Jr., a commissioner of the CPSC, blasted Fisher-Price for not recalling the whole product and said customers should be fully refunded. Fisher-Price has previously recalled other infant swings, including its problem-prone Rock ‘n Play Sleepers. That device was involved in two recalls, including last year when eight infant deaths occurred after its initial 2019 recall.

CNN —Covid-19 could be a powerful risk factor for heart attacks and strokes for as long as three years after an infection, a large new study suggests. What’s more, for people who needed to be hospitalized, Covid appeared to be as potent a risk factor for future heart attacks and strokes as diabetes or peripheral artery disease, or PAD. A finding unique to Covid-19The elevated heart risks from infection did not appear to diminish over time, the study found. People who were hospitalized for Covid but who were also taking low-dose aspirin had no increase in the likelihood of a subsequent heart attack or stroke. “If you’ve had Covid, we have to be especially attentive to making sure that we’re doing everything possible to lower your cardiovascular risk,” Hazen said.

CNN —The Supreme Court on Tuesday signaled a willingness to uphold a Biden administration regulation on “ghost guns,” mail-order kits that allow people to build untraceable weapons at home and that are turning up at crime scenes with greater frequency. The difference here, she said, is that the ghost guns are marketed to be built into guns and serve no other conceivable purpose. President Joe Biden’s administration told the court in briefing that police departments have faced an “explosion of crimes involving ghost guns” in recent years. In 2017, police submitted about 1,600 ghost guns recovered at crime scenes for tracing. After that decision, a lower court stepped in to block the regulations as applied to two manufacturers.

Two Democratic lawmakers are demanding that some of the biggest food and beverage companies stop engaging in “shrinkflation” — the practice of reducing product sizes while charging prices that are the same or higher. Spokespeople for General Mills, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo did not immediately respond to requests for comment. President Joe Biden has mentioned shrinkflation numerous times, declaring it a “rip-off” in a video he posted to X. Sarah Gallo, senior vice president of federal affairs at Consumer Brands Association, a trade group that Coca-Cola, PepsiCo and General Mills all belong to, defended industry practices to NBC News. Dean said the letters were sent to “ease the wrongful burden” the companies are imposing on consumers.
