MANCHESTER, England, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes should be stripped of his captaincy according to former player Roy Keane, who blasted the Portuguese international after the squad's 3-0 loss to Manchester City in Sunday's derby at Old Trafford. He is not captain material," Keane said on Sky Sports. Keane, a former United captain, echoed Gary Neville's thoughts on Fernandes after the side's 7-0 thrashing at Liverpool last season, their heaviest loss since 1931. Fernandes was made captain last summer after Harry Maguire was stripped of the role. "I know it's a big decision, obviously they changed the captaincy with Maguire, but Fernandes is not captain material.

MANCHESTER, England, Oct 29 (Reuters) - In what is turning into a miserable season for Manchester United, manager Erik ten Hag said Sunday's 3-0 demolition by local rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford was one of the most disappointing days in his tenure with the team. Asked if Sunday was one of his worst days in the job, the downcast manager told reporters: "Yes. "When you lose a derby in the way we lose is disappointing. First half we had a very good game plan and the execution was very good and then the penalty changed the moment." Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville called United's loss "appalling" on Sky Sports.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side is everything this United team is not at the moment: exciting, slick, cohesive, fast-paced and inventive. But perhaps the worst part of the defeat for United fans is that it wasn’t all that surprising. Boos rang out around Old Trafford at the end of the match – even when new signing Rasmus Højlund was substituted for Anthony Martial after 64 minutes. “We have to be very disappointed and annoyed at ourselves,” ten Hag told reporters. The protest in London’s bustling Chinatown brought together a variety of activist groups to oppose a rise in anti-Asian hate crimes. So it was peculiar when a street brawl broke out among mostly ethnic Chinese demonstrators. Witnesses said the fight, in November 2021, started when men aligned with the event’s organizers, including a group called No Cold War, attacked activists supporting the democracy movement in Hong Kong. In fact, a New York Times investigation found, it is part of a lavishly funded influence campaign that defends China and pushes its propaganda. At the center is a charismatic American millionaire, Neville Roy Singham, who is known as a socialist benefactor of far-left causes.

"Tiger's voice and leadership throughout his career have contributed immeasurably to the success of the PGA Tour, and to apply both to our governance and go-forward plan at this crucial time is even more welcomed and impactful," said PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan. "I am honoured to represent the players of the PGA Tour," Woods, who is recovering from ankle surgery in April, said in a news release. The announcement comes nearly two months after the golf world was left stunned by the announcement of a framework agreement between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, which controls LIV Golf. Lionel Messi has pulled off his latest stunning feat: He is headed to Major League Soccer, and joining Inter Miami. It took months of negotiations with MLS, the Inter Miami ownership, Adidas and even Apple getting involved in a creative pitch to bring Messi to Miami's pitch. Inter Miami needed six years from inception to playing its first match, and its first four seasons have been less than stellar. Messi met with Inter Miami co-owner Beckham this spring, and that was shared publicly almost to ensure that everyone knew the sides were still talking. "I'd like to think that I'm there because I'm good enough," Neville told Reuters. "I've always asked to be selected through merit and for no other reason – drop all the other tags and labels. Neville said the role of TMO can be a thankless one, drawing criticism both for interfering to much or for not getting sufficently involved in matches. In the role of TMO sometimes you're damned if you do and damned if you don't," she says.

The north Londoners were heading for a first league win at Liverpool since 2012, an eighth successive league win and a massive three points in their quest to win the league as they powered into a 2-0 lead. Arsenal have 73 points from 30 games, while Liverpool are eighth with 44 points. The game was under control but after that we concede a really sloppy goal and the game shifted momentum," Arsenal manager Arteta said. Liverpool took charge after the break and were awarded a penalty in the 58th minute after Rob Holding fouled Jota.
