PARIS, Jan 14 (Reuters) - French champions Paris St Germain said they will explore "alternative options" for their home stadium after Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo said the Parc des Princes was not for sale. The stadium, owned by the Paris city council, has been PSG's home since they entered France's top division in 1974. French media reported that Ligue 1 side PSG put forward an offer to buy the Parc des Princes in November last year. "... the Parc des Princes is not for sale. "It is surprising and disappointing to hear that the Mayor of Paris is taking a position which, effectively, will force PSG ... from the Parc des Princes while also ... adding tens of millions of euros to the taxpayer burden to maintain the structure of the building...," a PSG spokesperson told Reuters.

Nov 24 (Reuters) - Here is what you need to know about the 'OneLove' armbands that the captains of seven European teams were planning to wear at the Nov. 20-Dec. 18 World Cup in Qatar:WHAT DOES THE 'ONELOVE' ARMBAND MEAN? WHY WERE TEAM CAPTAINS PLANNING ON WEARING THE ARMBAND AT THE WORLD CUP? * World Cup organisers have repeatedly said that everyone, no matter their sexual orientation or background, is welcome during the tournament. * Nasser Al Khater, the chief executive of the 2022 World Cup, has said LGBTQ+ fans coming into the country would not have to worry about "persecution of any sort", describing Qatar as a "tolerant country". * According to FIFA rules, team equipment must not have any political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images, and during FIFA Final Competitions, the captain of each team "must wear the captain's armband provided by FIFA".
The beer maker will also serve beer within the ticketed perimeter surrounding each stadium, where the beer price is "to be confirmed," said the source, who declined to be named. "We recognise there is an issue with price," Qatar 2022 Chief Executive Nasser Al Khater said in 2019. At the FIFA Club World Cup held in Qatar that year a half-litre of beer cost around $6.50. Qatar's World Cup organisers, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, would not confirm the price of beer served inside the fan zone when contacted on Tuesday. "Pouring times and number of pouring destinations remains the same across all eight World Cup stadiums," the spokesperson said in a statement.

Companies Saudi Arabian Oil Co FollowRIYADH, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said on Wednesday planned European embargoes on Russian crude and products were adding to uncertainty in the global oil market. Nasser also said that market realignments were taking place with discounts being offered by Russia. The Group of seven countries agreed last month to cap Russian oil sales at an enforced low price by Dec. 5 but have faced consternation from main players in the global oil industry. Nasser said the market for blue hydrogen was "building up" but that it was so far costly at around $200-$300 per barrel of oil equivalent. Blue hydrogen is obtained through capturing carbon from crude oil, storing it underground and mixing it with ammonia.
Saudi Arabia's state-run oil giant is investing $1.5 billion in a new energy transition plan. Saudi Aramco's CEO Amin Nasser said the current framework is "flawed." Saudi Aramco chief executive Amin Nasser told a business conference Wednesday that the current framework in place "is not really delivering," while promoting "an optimal, realistic transition plan." The plan falls in line with the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen its green energy investments, and the Kingdom last year announced a goal of net zero emissions by 2060. Meanwhile Mohammed al-Jadaan, Saudi Arabia's finance minister, told the conference that the thinking around a plan to transition away from fossil fuels has "now became more realistic that actually transition will take... possibly 30 years."

It's quite concerning," says Cavallo of the 2022 World Cup. CNN has reached out to Qatar’s World Cup organizers for comment on Cavallo’s comments, but did not get a response. Earlier this year, former England international David Beckham become one of the most high-profile ambassadors for the World Cup in Qatar.
Notably, Paris says it will not organize fan zones for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, citing social and environmental issues. “Paris Saint-Germain’s matches in the Parc des Princes have become a must-see event for a great many foreign visitors.”France is looking to retain the World Cup after winning the competition in 2018. James Williamson/Getty ImagesParis joins Strasbourg, Lille, Rodez, Bordeaux, Nancy and Reims in committing to not organizing public viewings. “I repeat that this is not the trial of Qatar, we are questioning the model of this event,” insisted Rabadan. Qatar World Cup officials estimate a very different death toll, telling CNN last year that there have been just three work-related deaths on stadiums and 35 non-work-related deaths.
CNN —Ten European football teams – the Netherlands, England, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales – will participate in a season-long “OneLove” campaign promoting inclusion and opposing discrimination. With the OneLove band we express this message,” said Virgil van Dijk, the Netherlands captain. “I am honored to join my fellow national team captains in supporting the important OneLove campaign,” he said on Tuesday. “We continue to push for the principle of compensation for the families of migrant workers who have lost their lives or have been injured in construction projects,” the FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said. “Along with the other members of the UEFA Working Group on Human rights, we’re pushing FIFA for an update on the concept of a Migrant Workers’ Centre in Qatar, to provide advice and help for migrant workers.
