CNN —Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah says this year’s London Marathon will be his last as the iconic event braces itself for potential protests. “It won’t be my last race but, in terms of marathon, I think the London Marathon will be my last,” he said. CNN —England captain Leah Williamson is to miss this year’s Women’s World Cup after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while playing for her club Arsenal, the defender announced Friday via Instagram. Williamson suffered the injury during the first half of the team’s game against Manchester United on Wednesday, according to the club’s statement. The noise around the situation is loud and I need some quiet to let it all sink in,” Williamson wrote. “I think it’s way too common in the women’s game. The 2023 Women’s World Cup runs from July 20 through to August 20 and will be held in Australia and New Zealand.
