DiCaprio is also active in education about the climate crisis and attended the 2017 People's Climate March in protest of President Donald Trump.
He also starred in the 2021 Netflix film "Don't Look Up," an assumed commentary on the climate crisis, and the 2023 movie "Killers of the Flower Moon."
Both movies were nominated for best picture at the Oscars.
