There are few acts more optimistic than shopping for a home. You walk through its doors, run your fingertips along its appliances and see your face reflected in its windows and mirrors. Real estate agents understand this allure. And the really good ones are so adept at spinning the fantasy that they’re building careers on television out of it. For a new story for The Times’s real estate section, which published this morning, I spent time with agents from shows like “Million Dollar Listing” and “Buying Beverly Hills” to understand how they became stars in their own right, and what that tells us about the state of housing in the U.S.Hollywood luxuryLate last year, I flew to Los Angeles to attend an awards show for some of Hollywood’s most famous real estate agents.

And these are all themes explored broadly in the exhibition “Breasts,” a robust survey on display at the 60th Venice Bienniale. “It’s very intimate, so it’s perfect for international artists to develop a dialogue with each other,” she said in a video call. “Artists keep going back to it.”“It’s been a wonderful moment to contemplate my own relationship with the meaning of breasts,” she added of the show. CNN —Courtney Love has a new radio show about women in music, but she is not much of a fan of several of the biggest female artists of our time. But some contemporary artists, including Taylor Swift, are not to Love’s liking. “Taylor is not important,” Love said of Swift. “She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.”Love used to be an admirer of Lana Del Rey’s music but that changed. “I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song, and I think she should really take seven years off.” Love said.
