Trader Joe's CEO Dan Bane will retire in July, the grocery store chain said on Monday. "I take great pride that together we have made Trader Joe's the best grocery store in America," Bane said, according to Trader Joe's. With Bane's retirement will come the promotion of Bryan Palbaum to Chairman and CEO and Jon Basalone to Vice CEO, Trader Joe's said. Under Bane, Trader Joe's stuck to a leaner operating strategy than most other US grocery stores. California-based Trader Joe's is owned by the same family who owns Aldi Nord, a German chain of discount grocery stores.

A 13-count federal indictment charges Santos, 34, with defrauding prospective political supporters by laundering funds to pay for his personal expenses and illegally receiving unemployment benefits while he was employed. It also accuses him of making false statements to the House of Representatives about his assets, income and liabilities. Santos was released on a $500,000 bond and is due back in court for his next appearance on June 30. Nine House Republicans have so far called on Santos to resign, including six from his home state of New York. Among other claims, Santos said he had degrees from New York University and Baruch College despite neither institution's having any record of his attending.

A United passenger says an airline crew member refused to accommodate her son's peanut allergy. She said she asked a flight attendant to inform passengers located in her immediate vicinity of her son's peanut allergy. After some confusion over the request, Mandelbaum told the crew member she had made the same request on another United flight two days earlier. "I was humiliated and treated as if my son's peanut allergy was not a legitimate disability and not worthy of respect." Research by the Center for Food Allergy & Asthma Research found nearly one in 10 surveyed passengers with food allergies experienced a reaction while on a flight.

The anthem is 'Proud of Your Boy," an emotional ode to winning mom's approval from the hit musical, "Aladdin." "Do the 'Proud Boys' know their anthem was written by a gay Jew?" Bender was granted immunity from prosecution for testifying before the grand jury that indicted the company and Weisselberg. Bender said he prepared tax returns for Weisselberg and his family members free of charge as an "accommodation." Mazars in February dropped the company as a client and said it could no longer stand behind a decade of Trump's financial statements.

A video posted to TikTok showed a woman with a baby telling a flight attendant: "I will kill you." The video, which has gone viral on TikTok, shows the woman in a physical confrontation with a flight attendant while holding a child on her hip. It's unclear what preceded the video, but the woman can be heard saying: "I will kill you. The flight attendant keeps saying "ma'am" and another one tells the woman she needs to take her seat, but the woman continues to push herself down the aisle. The person who posted the video, another passenger on United Airlines flight 476, gave more details in a follow-up video.

A United flight attendant was taken to a hospital after an altercation with an unruly passenger. The Chicago Police Department told Insider it responded to reports of "a disturbance that had occurred on a plane." In a video shared by passenger Peter Kondelis, a woman on the plane appears to be screaming while standing in the aisle holding a young child. "A disruptive customer on a flight from San Francisco to Chicago was removed by law enforcement upon landing on Sunday, and one member of the flight attendant crew was taken to a hospital for evaluation," the spokesperson said. According to Twitter account @WindyCityWxMan, which shares real-time police scanner alerts, three ambulances were specifically requested for the flight attendant, the passenger, and the passenger's child.
