☆ Top Wall Street analysts pick these 3 stocks for attractive returns

Wall Street analysts are ignoring the short-term noise and remain focused on companies that have strong fundamentals and can generate attractive returns in the long run. Bearing that in mind, here are three stocks favored by the Street's top pros, according to TipRanks, a platform that ranks analysts based on their past performance. Micron TechnologyThis week's first stock pick is memory chipmaker Micron Technology (MU), which impressed investors with its strong quarterly performance. Bolton noted that Micron's HBM3E memory solution generated revenue in the fiscal second quarter and has already sold out for calendar year 2024. He highlighted management's commentary about generating several hundred million dollars of revenue from HBM3E in fiscal 2024 and driving fiscal 2025 revenue to record highs.

A significant chunk of that money was strategic, in that it came from tech companies rather than venture capitalists or other institutions. The company has refocused much of its product development on generative AI, and its newly rebranded Gemini model, adding features into search, documents, maps and elsewhere. Alphabet and Nvidia are also investors in Runway ML, a generative AI company known for its video-editing and visual effects tools. Microsoft has invested in many of the techniques underpinning generative AI through its Microsoft Research division. Apple researchers recently published details of their work on MM1, a family of small AI models that can take both text and visual input.

AMD stock spiked more than 8% Wednesday, a day after the company beat top and bottom-line earnings estimates and gave a promising 2024 forecast for its AI chip business. The chipmaker posted an earnings per share of 70 cents, adjusted, narrowly beating the LSEG, formerly Refinitiv, estimate of 68 cents per share. Wall Street analysts like AMD's prospects in the AI market, which is currently dominated by Nvidia . McDonald's is nixing its self-serve soft drinks and customers are expressing their dismay. Fans of the fast-food chain said the switch was the "end of an era" and a "tremendous loss."
