The dread sets in around 4 p.m., as the sun inches closer to the horizon and starts to wind down for the day. The end of Daylight Saving Time every fall can feel like something out of a Stephen King novel. We decided to talk to some experts about how to cope with the time change and the dwindling daylight. “Morning light is really good for your health” and is a great mood booster, said Dr. Jennifer Martin, a psychologist and professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. “Our internal clock is really set by light and it is very sensitive.

And while the median net worth has increased significantly, it’s still under $200,000 — far short of the estimated amount Americans should have in retirement savings. In the summer, Bud Light lost its long-held top-selling American beer title to rival Modelo. In an effort to jumpstart sales, Bud Light has been rolling out marketing campaigns and partnerships it thinks will placate fans.

New York CNN —Bud Light continues to drag Anheuser-Busch InBev’s bottom line in the United States, but the world’s biggest brewer’s sales rose because of higher prices. The company reported a 13.5% decline in third-quarter US revenue per 100 liters, a key measure of beer sales, as an ongoing backlash to Bud Light continues. The brand’s customers turned their backs on Bud Light after the company partnered with a transgender influencer – and then muddled its response. Tuesday’s report painted a bleak picture for Bud Light, sales and shipments of which have weakened dramatically since its brief and limited partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney in the spring. Sales of Bud Light are still sinking, with volumes down 30% year-over-year for the four weeks ending on October 7, according to NIQ data given to Beer Business Daily newsletter.

The company's revenue fell nearly 14% from July to September in the U.S., its largest market, as Bud Light sales sank. Bud Light sales started falling in April after a conservative boycott of the brewer's partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Anheuser-Busch is now trying to turn around the brand's fortunes by marketing Bud Light through platforms it considers uncontroversial. Moving forward, the company plans to promote Bud Light at events like football games and concerts, he said. "This was the result of one campaign," he said of the Mulvaney partnership, which featured her face on a Bud Light can.

The end of Daylight Saving Time is typically a trigger for cluster headaches. Cluster headache attacks can occur every day for six to eight weeks and then go away in a cluster cycle. The theory is that you can actually trigger a cycle by switching the time with Daylight Saving Time. CNN: Why does Daylight Saving Time have such an impact? It’s important to realize that it’s not just Daylight Saving (Time) changes that can trigger these attacks, even changing time zones can trigger cluster headaches.

LIN YTD mountain Linde YTD Bottom line Industrial gas giant Linde (LIN) delivered the kind of quarter we've come to expect: Double-digit earnings growth and a lift to its profit guidance. While the top-line sales figure was light, Linde's strong operating margin expansion in the quarter more than made up for it. In good economic times and bad, Linde's model of continued margin expansion with project growth has enabled earnings per share growth of at least 10% annually. That means the current backlog of $4.5 billion should be worth a few percentage points of earnings growth next year. Linde sees fourth-quarter earnings per share falling to between $3.38 and $3.48, compared with the $3.46 consensus estimate from analysts.

NEW YORK (AP) — Bud Light is set to return as the official beer of the UFC in the U.S. next year as the brand tries to recover from a conservative backlash to a promotion with a transgender influencer. Under a new multiyear marketing deal between the promoter of mixed martial arts fights and Bud Light maker Anheuser-Busch, the brewer will become the UFC's “Official Beer Partner” in the U.S. starting Jan. 1, the two companies announced. Bud Light has also faced backlash from Mulvaney’s supporters and LGBTQ+ rights groups, who say the company didn’t do enough to support her. In June, Bud Light lost its place as America’s best-selling beer after more than two decades, slipping into second place behind Mexican lager Modelo Especial. As Bud Light sales plunged, Anheuser-Busch InBev reported a 10.5% fall in U.S. revenue for this year's second quarter.

Anheuser-Busch InBev's Bud Light will again become the official beer sponsor for the Ultimate Fighting Championship with a six-year marketing partnership, the companies announced Tuesday. As part of the agreement, Bud Light will receive exclusive and prominent branding at UFC fights and events, as well as in-arena promotion. The agreement comes on the heels of a conservative boycott against Anheuser-Busch's Bud Light that began this spring when the brand partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The partnership grants Bud Light visibility in an estimated 900 million TV households in more than 170 countries. Why the US kept Daylight Saving Time

The current March to November system that the US follows began in 2007, but the concept of “saving daylight” is much older. Pro tip: It’s Daylight Saving Time, with singular use of “saving,” not “savings.”Reasons for Daylight Saving TimeDon't forget to reset your alarm clock. Jasmin Merdan/Moment RF/Getty ImagesThe US kept Daylight Saving Time permanent during most of World War II. Why do we need Daylight Saving TimeStudies over the last 25 years have shown the one-hour change disrupts body rhythms tuned to Earth’s rotation, adding fuel to the debate over whether having Daylight Saving Time in any form is a good idea. Although saving energy was often put out as a reason to have Daylight Saving Time, the energy saved isn’t much — if anything at all.

Vampires were very real to people in the past, but there are many ways science can explain their characteristics, whether they come from folklore or fiction. But many modern notions of vampires started with the 1700s media frenzy and continued with "Dracula" and other tales. "It's not like a vampire disease where people are wandering the earth for years and years getting to look more and more like vampires," he said. AdvertisementAdvertisementWhile sunlight sapped the count's powers, it was not until the 1922 film "Nosferatu" that the sun's rays killed vampires. As scientists began to learn and understand more about the body and death, stories about vampires started to evolve.

Gates bought the stock around the time A-B reported earnings that fully encompassed the fallout from Bud Light’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Last month, A-B said that its US revenue fell 10% in the second quarter, hampered by falling Bud Light sales. A few weeks later, Modelo overtook Bud Light in sales at grocery and beer stores, according to NIQ data, marking the first time Modelo has ever beaten Bud Light on a year-to-date basis. However, the difference is slim with Modelo holding 8.34% share of dollars spent on beer vs. 8.28% for Bud Light through August 12. That’s a drastic change from the same quarter a year ago, when Bud Light sales were higher than Coors Light and Miller Light sales combined. Net income for the second quarter grew to $342 million, up from $47 million in the same period a year earlier. Since then, sales of Bud Light have been consistently falling by more than 20% every week (compared to the same week prior) since April.
