Yet the unprofitable manufacturer still sports a racy $107 billion market capitalisation courtesy of the previous eightfold rocketing of its stock since its merger with a blank cheque company in mid-August. Even with the wild swings, the stock trades almost five times higher than what already looked like a punchy valuation when the merger was announced in May. Shares of dedicated EV maker VinFast, which merged with special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Black Spade, surged on their Nasdaq debut on Tuesday. VinFast is set to break ground on its delayed U.S. factory on Friday. Vietnam's VinFast will begin construction on its electric vehicle factory in North Carolina on Friday morning local time, the Vietnamese automaker confirmed with CNBC. VinFast vehicles do not currently qualify because they are not built in the country, but are built in Vietnam. The company is also pricing its VF 9 model at a considerable discount to the comparable Tesla Model X. A Tesla Model X costs about $100,000.

The veterans hospital purchased more devices than some of the largest veterans medical facilities, according to data the VA's investigation gathered. Medtronic also said that Schroeder has "admitted under oath that he has no firsthand knowledge of any problematic procedure involving Medtronic devices." Douglas Winger, one of the Medtronic sales representatives named as a defendant in Schroeder's lawsuit, won a Medtronic President's Club award in 2016 for his sales.
