CNN —Former President Donald Trump continued his attacks on special counsel Jack Smith on Saturday, including a reference to Smith’s family, at a rally in Claremont, New Hampshire. Referring to the alleged ill -will Smith and his family have for Trump, the former president said Smith is “about at 10” and his family is “about a 15 on a scale of 10.”Some of Trump’s attacks against Smith stem from the activities of his wife, filmmaker Katy Chevigny. I just want to do what’s right for the country,” Trump told the crowd. Trump quickly appealed and sought to have the gag order paused while the appeal unfolded. A federal appeals court later temporarily froze the limited gag order, allowing him to again speak freely with criticism of possible witnesses in the case.

NEW YORK (AP) — Britney Spears' memoir “The Woman in Me” has sold 1.1 million copies in the U.S. alone through its first week. On the day of publication, Spears posted on Instagram that her book had become “the highest selling celebrity memoir in history.” It is not, so far, even the highest selling memoir of 2023. But Prince Harry's memoir “Spare,” which came out in January, sold 1.6 million U.S. copies in its first week. In one day last week, from Monday to Tuesday, Spears’ catalog jumped 18.2% in on-demand streams, and 36.8% in album sales. According to Luminate, her U.S. streams increased 24% over the previous week — from 16 million to 19.8 million; her album sales were up 61.4% and digital sales 49%.

Trump is now facing a limited gag order after a federal judge's ruling on Monday. Judge Tanya Chutkan's order will limit Trump's attacks on potential witnesses, prosecutors, and court staff. Trump has repeatedly criticized special counsel Jack Smith, including saying he "looks like a crackhead." AdvertisementAdvertisementFederal judge Tanya Chutkan on Monday imposed a limited gag order that if it stands would force the end of former President Donald Trump's social media barrages against special counsel Jack Smith and his team. The former president's attorneys had argued that imposing such a restriction would unfairly limit Trump's First Amendment rights, an argument Chutkan strongly rejected.

"It's hard to envision," McEnroe said of whether anyone not named Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev or even Jannik Sinner could triumph. The Supreme Court ruled Thursday to end race-based affirmative action in college admissions. The Obamas each released a statement reflecting on the role affirmative action has played. Barack Obama wrote that it had allowed students like him and Michelle "to prove we belonged." CNN —First lady Dr. Jill Biden is emerging as a prominent voice taking on Republicans and former President Donald Trump since his indictment – even as the White House has maintained a stay-silent strategy on the legal case. Their support is so needed, because whether we like it or not, this guy (Trump) could be back,” he said. LaRosa noted that Biden’s language Tuesday evening in the Bay Area didn’t stray far from language she and the president have previously used. Former first lady Melania Trump actively avoided the campaign trail as her president campaigned for reelection in 2020. Obama says he "didn't fully appreciate" Michelle's mothering of daughters while he was president. Obama told CBS Mornings that being out of the White House has helped his marriage with Michelle. In an interview with CBS Mornings, Obama said that while he was engaged as a father, he "did not fully appreciate" how difficult it was for Michelle to mother their children, Malia and Sasha, during his presidency. Since departing the White House and seeing Malia and Sasha all grown up, Obama said Michelle is now "a little more forgiving of all my flaws." "Let me just say this, it sure helps to be out of the White House," he laughed.

Former first lady Michelle Obama , who campaigned for children’s health and fitness during her time in the White House, is co-founding a company selling food and drinks intended to be healthier for kids than what is typically on store shelves. CNN —Former first lady Michelle Obama announced Wednesday the launch of a healthy food and beverage company she co-founded to offer parents “healthier, great-tasting products” for their children. Its first product, PLEZi – a fruit juice for kids – contains 75% less sugar than average leading 100% fruit juices. Obama in her role as first lady spearheaded the Let’s Move campaign, a program aimed at ending childhood obesity. The crowning achievement of that campaign was the passage of the 2010 “Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act,” which created federal nutrition standards for school lunches. Let’s Move persisted through criticism from Republicans, food companies, school lunch professionals, and – perhaps most visibly – school kids themselves, some of whom registered their displeasure at new school lunch rules by posting unappetizing photos of meals on social media.
She said for 10 of her 30 year marriage to former President Barack Obama they didn't get on. Michelle Obama said marriage is "hard," and requires work and compromise. "A lot of young people quit on marriage over things that are just a part of the commitment," she said. "I share these things because marriage is hard," Obama said. Michelle Obama met Barack in a law firm in Chicago where she was assigned to mentor him, and were married in 1992.
Michelle Obama admitted it's a "relief" she and her family are no longer living in the White House. Obama also made it clear that she never dreams about living in the White House. In an interview on "The Tonight Show," Fallon pointed out that Obama recently returned to the White House for the first time since her tenure as first lady. Security then had to tell them that wasn't their car, and they had to walk past the presidential and vice presidential motorcade to get to their car in the back of the line. "But the thing was, we were so glad to get in that back motorcade and to go home to our house," Obama said.
Michelle Obama said she cried uncontrollably on Air Force One on Trump's inauguration day. This was after the Obamas left the White House in 2017, on Trump's inauguration day. In a clip in "Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast," Obama described her experience on former President Donald Trump's inauguration day. Obama also talked about what it was like having to attend then-President-elect Trump's inauguration ceremony. In July 2019, Obama said in an interview with CBS host Gayle King that having to attend Trump's inauguration as one of the few people of color there was "a lot, emotionally."
