CNN —LIV Golf’s Sergio Garcia is set to return to the DP World Tour next year, opening up the possibility of him making a record-equaling 11th appearance at the Ryder Cup. The 44-year-old, who won the 2017 Masters, resigned his DP World Tour membership in 2023 after being sanctioned for joining the breakaway LIV Golf circuit the year before. However, a DP World Tour spokesperson confirmed to CNN Sport that Garcia had submitted an application to rejoin the tour and had paid his fines following his defection. “Sergio Garcia submitted his application to return to membership of the DP World Tour for the 2025 season ahead of the deadline on Sunday November 17,” a DP World Tour spokesperson told CNN. CNN —Victims and family members of those killed in the 2022 mass shooting at the LGBTQIA+ Club Q in Colorado Springs have sued the El Paso County Board of Commissioners and others, alleging authorities could have prevented the shooting if they had enforced the state’s “red flag law” against the gunman. One was filed by the families of the dead victims and five victims themselves – a second was filed by Barrett Hudson, who sustained seven gunshot wounds. “The shooter had a history of violent threats and behavior that clearly warranted intervention,” the suits say. The suits allege that, despite the shooter’s “history of violent threats and behavior that clearly warranted prevention … El Paso County law enforcement failed to invoke the Red Flag Law, in light of policies against its use.”In 2019, a year before the law came into effect, the Board of El Paso County Commissioners approved a resolution to designate the county a so-called Second Amendment Sanctuary. CNN —A 43-year-old father was shot and killed in his home by a Las Vegas police officer last week, authorities said, after he called 911 for help. Early in the morning of November 12, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police received multiple calls about a shooting on Wine River Drive.
