Adtech layoffs have continued into this summer — including at some companies that already made cuts. Ezoic, MiQ, Outbrain, and Brightcove are among the adtech companies with recent layoffs. For some adtech companies, the huge wave of layoffs that struck in 2022 and at the turn of this year wasn't the last, amid prolonged economic uncertainty and a tepid ad market. To be sure, the layoff phenomenon isn't hitting all adtech companies, and many that made cutbacks — including those listed above — are aggressively shifting priorities and have open roles listed on their websites. Adweek recently reported a marked slowdown in adtech job openings in 2023, citing recruiters and industry insiders.

The quiet luxury trend is dominating 2023 after years of trends like "dopamine dressing." David Russell/HBOLike most other fashion trends, the move toward quiet luxury, or "stealth wealth," is part of a cycle. Liz Hafalia/The San Francisco Chronicle via Getty ImagesAt this point, quiet luxury has become so popular that even luxury brands themselves are being asked about it. She also highlighted Italian luxury house Brunello Cucinelli, French leather goods firm Hermès, and Armani, who has been doing quiet luxury for nearly two decades. If that's a bit outside your budget, there are mass-market retailers partaking in what the quiet luxury trend is promoting: durable, sustainably made clothing in timeless fabrics and silhouettes.
He had told Oxford Gold that he wanted to "get the lay of the land" ahead of picking up a $9 million order for 151 gold kilo bars. But most unusual was that Mancuso wanted to pick up the order from the Oxford Gold office, the source said. The next day, Mancuso contacted Oxford Gold about buying $9 million worth of gold, and the company agreed to sell him 151 gold kilo bars. But Oxford Gold was alerted on December 2 that this was a fraudulent transaction, said a source with direct knowledge. Unsure what to do, Oxford Gold contacted the Beverly Hills Police Department, and eventually got in touch with the FBI, this source said.

January 9 - What's next for Aaron Rodgers with the Packers missing the playoffs? Rodgers said Sunday night in the wake of a season-ending loss to the Detroit Lions that his future is up in the air. Rodgers offered no timeframe for making a decision on returning to Green Bay for the 2023 season. Six weeks passed between the Packers' final game and the declaration from Rodgers on March 8 that he was returning for the just-completed 2022 season. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Sunday night the team welcomes Rodgers back, but knows "ultimately, he will decide that."
