By early morning Wednesday, officials said some power had been restored to the areas with the least storm damage. Ian, which left a swath of destruction and at least two dead across western Cuba, has now strengthened into an extremely dangerous Category 4 hurricane, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Wednesday.
