Arm is looking to raise nearly $5 billion from the IPO which would value it at over $50 billion. Arm will be "central" to the transition to AI-enabled computing, the company said in its IPO prospectus. While CPUs are also required in the data center, they're often used in conjunction with a GPU to train data, but not always. Arm's future in AIArm's AI future is unlikely to come from the huge amounts of chips required to train big data models. For this to happen, devices will require low-power but high-performance chips able to carry out the computing required for AI applications.

Pavlo Gonchar | Sopa Images | Lightrocket | Getty ImagesSpirits were high when Dutch payments firm Adyen floated on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in 2018. The company was riding a wave of growth in Europe's technology sector and snapping up competition from its mega U.S. rival PayPal. Since then, the company has weathered a turbulent ride, including a global pandemic that knocked volumes from travel clients significantly. Company shares plummeted 39% on Thursday, erasing 18 billion euros ($39 billion) from Adyen's market capitalization, as investors dumped the stock after the firm reported its slowest revenue growth on record. Adyen has typically been viewed as a growth stock, after consistently reporting revenue growth of 26% each half-year period since its 2018 stock market debut.

Oil and natural gas producer Coterra Energy (CTRA) delivered mixed results after the closing bell Monday, with second-quarter sales missing expectations and profit outpacing estimates. However, natural gas liquid prices missed estimates. While management did raise their outlook for total production along with their production targets for oil and natural gas, they left capital expenditure expectations alone. Given the pressure seen on commodity prices, particularly in natural gas, management was forced to lower their outlook for operating cash flow and free cash flow. Guidance Forward guidance for both the third quarter and full year 2023 was mixed — and unfortunately, the full-year misses were on management's cash flow forecasts.

CNBC runs through all you need to know about the new EU-U.S. privacy framework, why it matters, and its chances of success. What's the new EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework? Schrems said that revelations from NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden about U.S. surveillance meant that American data protection standards couldn't be trusted. Instead, individual U.S. states have come up with their own respective regulations for data privacy, with California leading the charge. The approval of a new data privacy framework means that businesses will now have certainty over how they can process data across borders going forward.

"Now [with] every company, you get on these conference calls and it's almost like your stock reacts to how many times you say 'AI,'" Niles said. "So, yes, you do have a bit of a bubble developing." However, this is usually how it goes with a new, powerful technology, Niles said. But over the long term, much as with the internet, Niles said, AI is "real" and "going to change the way we live." Investors: 'Look at valuations'Niles predicts that AI is actually "under-hyped [in the] long term."

Danaher 's (DHR) announcement this week that it will spin off its growing water business is a big win for shareholders — including us at the Club. In both cases, after an initial growth hit due to the divestitures, we saw a notable sales growth acceleration once these slower growth business were on their own. More good news: Danaher's management team said 2022 core revenue growth is expected to be above the prior guidance range thanks higher-than-anticipated respiratory testing revenue at Cepheid. Base business core revenue growth is still expected to be up in the high-single-digit range. Whereas, they think EAS has a longer-term core revenue growth profile in the mid-single-digit range.
