During teacher training, a staff member is there to mentor and take you under their wing. I may make less, but teaching has been extremely rewardingI finished my teacher training and graduated with my PGCE in 2022. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded Friday to a Japanese anti-nuclear weapon group comprising survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Nihon Hidankyo was given the award “for its efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said. "The nuclear powers are modernizing and upgrading their arsenals; new countries appear to be preparing to acquire nuclear weapons; and threats are being made to use nuclear weapons in ongoing warfare," the committee said. In terms of conventional warfare, this peace prize was awarded in a year with more active conflicts than at any time since World War II. Getting a Nobel Peace Prize is by no means a guarantor that the efforts of its recipient have or will be successful.

CNN —An 18-year-old has filed a lawsuit over the ownership of the ball Shohei Ohtani made baseball history with when he became the inaugural member of the 50-50 club. The ball had been put up for auction by auctioneers Goldin, with bids starting at $500,000 and collectors able to purchase it privately outright for $4.5 million. Both Belanski and Kelvin Ramirez indicated on social media that they intended to sell the ball, per the filing. In December 2002, a San Francisco judge ordered the two men to sell the ball and split the proceeds. The ball was eventually sold to comic book creator and producer Todd McFarlane who paid $450,000 for it.

The "regular" people — those who aren't wealthy or famous — try so hard to understand the rules of what's stylish, usually set by celebrities and fashion houses. Conveniently for our capitalist society, this also keeps people constantly purchasing new clothes to try to get closer to the arbitrary idea of fashion. It boils down to a simple question: do you like it, or do you not? If you wear clothes that aren't affirming of who you are, it's like opening your mouth to speak but hearing the wrong voice come out.
