Twenty-two Democrats joined with most Republicans in the chamber to censure Tlaib for allegedly "promoting false narratives" on Hamas' Oct. 7 gun rampage in Israel and "calling for the destruction of the state of Israel."
The motion was sponsored by Republican Representative Richard McCormick.
The idea that criticizing the government of Israel is antisemitic sets a very dangerous precedent," Tlaib said.
2 Democrat in the House, told reporters on Tuesday that while he "strenuously disagreed" with Tlaib's remarks about Biden, he believed the censure motion was not productive.

The decision comes just days before a trial on Trump's eligibility for the ballot is expected to begin.
In a 24-page ruling, Colorado District Judge Sarah Wallace pushed back on Trump's argument that Congress, not courts, should handle questions related to his ballot eligibility.
She also sided against Trump's claim that state election officials lack the power to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
Wallace's ruling Wednesday comes after Chief U.S. District Judge Philip A. Brimmer denied Trump's request to move the Colorado ballot case to federal court.
In a four-page order, Brimmer sent the lawsuit back to the same state court in Denver County where it was filed on behalf of the group of voters.

Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Nick LaLota voted against Jim Jordan for speaker on Wednesday.

"My vote card belongs to me and the people of NY's First Congressional District," LaLota wrote.
In response to the series of threats and vitriol spewed at Miller-Meeks, LaLota, and Bacon in recent days, Jordan wrote online that he condemns "all threats against our colleagues."
That first occurred on Tuesday, when 18 Republicans voted for candidates other than Jordan and sunk his first speaker bid.

To win the gavel, Jordan must win a majority of the House.
With the chamber split 221 Republicans to 212 Democrats, he can only spare four Republican defections, assuming he gets no support from Democrats.

The U.S. House of Representatives gaveled into session Tuesday to vote on whether Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, will become its next speaker.
The vote on Jordan's candidacy is scheduled to begin around 12:30 p.m.
The deeply divided Republican conference has so far been unable to coalesce around a candidate for speaker after McCarthy's ouster.
Jordan has said he wants the House to keep voting Tuesday until it chooses a speaker, suggesting Jordan intends to wear down his opposition on the House floor.
The House has been leaderless for two weeks after a faction of eight Republicans led by Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida ousted McCarthy in an unprecedented no-confidence vote.

GOP lawmakers have been scrambling to pick their next House Speaker.
In a secret ballot held Wednesday, House Republicans nominated Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana.

The decision came after Scalise failed to secure enough votes to win the Speaker role on Thursday, The Associated Press reported.
