UniversalA fashion-forward, murderous doll is ringing up big bucks at the box office. It's the latest success in a string of lucrative theatrical runs for the horror genre. Additionally, fewer theatrical releases have resulted in a smaller overall box office in the last year. The domestic box office reached $7.5 billion in 2022, better than $4.58 billion collected in 2021, but down around 34% compared to 2019. Its newest installment in the Scream franchise took in $81 million in the U.S. and Canada and $137 million worldwide.

CNN —George Clooney has a surefire way for staying out of trouble as a public figure in the age of social media: stay off of it. Ethan Hawke, who directed Clooney in a voice role as Newman in this year’s HBO documentary “The Last Movie Stars,” observed that it’s no surprise he’s getting such a prestigious honor. “It’s interesting that he’s getting the Kennedy Center Honors this year because Newman got it too. “The default mode really doesn’t lead you to a place of thinking about fairness, or defending people who can’t defend themselves. That’s rare.”Clooney will be featured as part of the Kennedy Center Honors on December 28 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Studiul s-a desfășurat prin montarea unui monitor de ritm cardiac pe participanți – pentru a vedea cât crește ritmul cardiac peste ritmul cardiac de odihnă în timpul unui anumit film înfricoșător. Iar filmul care este cel mai înspăimântător este filmul Sinister al lui Scott Derrickson din 2012, cu Ethan Hawke în rol principal.
