Jefferies has identified a lesser-known and potentially undervalued Taiwanese company poised to benefit from the growing artificial intelligence sector. The investment bank said Insyde Software, listed on the Taipei Exchange, is well positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for AI-enabled personal computers and servers. Jefferies initiated coverage of Insyde with a research note titled "Firmware Leader and Yet-to-be Discovered AI Play" on July 9 with a "Buy" rating and a price target that suggests a potential 42% upside from current levels. However, the stock has already risen by more than 30% since the ratings action, according to FactSet data, which shows the stock currently offers 17% upside potential. Founded in 1998, Insyde has established itself in the firmware industry, commanding over 50% market share in the personal computer segment, Jefferies suggests.

Read previewMonths after "coffee badging" was coined, some workers are still using the move to avoid having to work from the office … sort of. They're still going to the office, it's true; they're just not spending much time there. The continued practice of coffee badging highlights the resistance some companies are facing as they attempt to increase office attendance after shifting to hybrid or fully in-person attendance. Business Insider previously reported that Dell, meanwhile, is implementing a color-coded system to grade office attendance for hybrid workers. Are you coffee badging at work, or do you have another work story to share?

We think so," Melius analyst Ben Reitzes said in a research report on Monday. We think infrastructure software may be harder to disrupt," the Melius analyst said. Apple, AMD and Intel should benefit from looming product cycles and an eventual easing of cloud capital expenditures spending, according to Reitzes. For Apple, the analyst believes consumers will favor its iPhone 16 out in September given its "Apple Intelligence" AI capabilities. His price targets on Intel and AMD suggest the stocks can advance some 16% and 22%, respectively, over the next year.

The legal fee represents a cut of the value that the plaintiff’s lawyers say was created for Tesla by a Delaware judge’s January ruling that rescinded Musk’s $56-billion pay package. The Musk case took a dramatic turn when Tesla shareholders in June voted to ratify Musk’s pay, which Tesla has argued corrected the flaws in the 2018 process that McCormick identified in her ruling. The company argues that Musk’s pay package has been restored and that Tornetta’s legal victory has been transformed into a loss. McCormick may take weeks or months to rule on the legal fee. The Delaware Supreme Court is considering a $267 million fee request in a shareholder class action involving Dell Technologies and that decision could provide fee guidance.
