After Bud Light partnered with transgender TikToker Dylan Mulvaney, right-wingers launched a boycott. But former President Donald Trump has been missing from the conversation. It turns out that he's an investor in Anheuser Busch InBev — the company that produces Bud Light. While the former president has been quiet about the Bud Light outrage, his son, Donald Trump Jr., has called for the boycott to end. Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential candidate, has repeatedly misgendered Mulvaney in speaking out against the Bud Light partnership.

Biden on Thursday said his administration would tighten immigration enforcement by blocking Cuban, Haitian and Nicaraguan migrants at the border, expanding the nationalities of those who can be expelled back to Mexico. But that has not impressed Republicans like Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who accused him of failing to enforce immigration laws. Biden told reporters he had not yet read the letter. While control of the Senate remains in the balance, Democrats on Tuesday ran ahead of expectations set by pre-election poll averages. Across the eight most competitive races, Democrats on average did about three points better than the final poll averages calculated by Real Clear Politics. And a number of those averages camouflage a wide disparity among individual polls. Races that have been calledIn the closing weeks of the campaign, polls suggested momentum was moving toward Republicans in places like New Hampshire and Pennsylvania, but Democrats in both states won by decent margins. And Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin was thought to be comfortably ahead.
The Nevada Senate race remains within the margin of error, but McDaniel called Scott’s aggressive early spending critical to having blunt attacks from Democrats, when the national conversation centered on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade. [Then] once our candidates had the money to get on TV, they closed the gap," McDaniel said. Vance in Ohio, McDaniel and Scott both quickly called it a “team sport,” without specifically naming McConnell, despite his group’s sizable investments. Some Republicans have expressed frustration over Scott, saying he spent too much too soon while his group’s fundraising this year fell behind the pace it held in previous campaign years. Cortez Masto, the first-ever Latina elected to the Senate, scoffed when asked about Laxalt's contention that he's eating into her Latino support.
RENO, Nev. — One day before early voting begins here, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto argued that voters should rebuke her GOP opponent at the ballot box for his role in promoting falsehoods about the 2020 election. Cortez Masto is locked in what appears to be dead heat against Laxalt, the Republican former attorney general of Nevada who has said the 2020 election was "rigged." In that same interview, Laxalt said, “There’s no question they rigged the election,” referring to 2020. In Nevada, Cortez Masto is battling to retain her Senate seat in a contest that could determine the balance of power in the U.S. Senate. Cortez Masto’s messaging is part of a concerted effort by her campaign focusing on Laxalt’s past remarks on voter fraud.

NBC News was first to report the news that Obama would campaign in Wisconsin. The visit from Obama comes as both Barnes and Evers face tough battles against their Republican opponents. Governor Mandela Barnes speaks at a rally at the Wisconsin State Capital on July 23, 2022. Obama broke the pattern of close elections in Wisconsin, decisively claiming the state in his 2008 and 2012 presidential runs.
At the same time, odds for a Republican sweep on Nov. 8 have risen. Individual solar and other renewable names are also down sharply, like First Solar, which is in the Strategas Democratic portfolio. Clifton said his portfolios are pointing to a 60% chance of a Republican sweep, while betting markets are at 50/50. Among the holdings in the Republican portfolio are companies that would benefit from distribution and transportation of oil and gas, like Enterprise Products Partners. "The market is increasingly pricing in a Republican sweep.
During the interview, Fetterman occasionally stuttered and had trouble finding words. Tune in to “Nightly News with Lester Holt” at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT for more of our interview with Fetterman. “It changes everything,” Fetterman said, responding to a question about how his recovery has changed his day-to-day. “If you’re going to be our next senator, you have to give the answer,” said Fetterman, who opposes the Graham legislation. Oz has criticized Fetterman for agreeing to just one debate — and accused his rival of hiding from voters during the stroke recovery.
Republican megadonor Peter Thiel is hosting a fundraiser at his Los Angeles home next week for Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters after GOP officials asked the tech mogul for more money heading into the final stretch of the November midterm elections. The move by Thiel to host Masters comes as donations from the tech mogul to separate super PACs supporting Masters and Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Republican leaders and campaign officials, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., have reportedly asked Thiel to help Vance and Masters in the general election. Vance and Masters both worked with Thiel before they launched their Senate campaigns. Vance once worked at investment firm Mithril Capital, which was co-founded by Thiel, while Masters was the chief operating officer at Thiel Capital.
A seemingly dormant Mehmet Oz campaign has struggled to unify the MAGA base in Pennsylvania. "Since Dr. Oz's victory remarks on June 9th, he has been to over 75 events," Oz campaign spokesperson Brittany Yanick told Insider in a statement. The Oz campaign would not say when it has plans to launch new TV ads. The Vance campaign responded to Insider's request for comment by attacking Rep. Tim Ryan. "It's why Democrats have a chance of holding onto the Senate," he told Insider, "is just the horrible class of candidates they've nominated."
